Ilkley Arts Ilkley Arts is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, whose aims are to promote & celebrate the arts

We are a small charity (officially called a charitable incorporated organisation – CIO) based in Ilkley run by volunteers. Ilkley is famous for its beautiful moor with ancient rock carvings and its medieval Manor House. Ilkley Arts runs the Ilkley Arts studio that is a venue for exhibitions, workshops and is also home to the Ilkley Art School and the Ilkley Arts Hub Members Network where artists and creatives can come together to share ideas and thoughts about their and other artists’ work. Our core mission at Ilkley Arts is to promote and celebrate the arts in Ilkley and surrounding areas to enrich the lives of residents and visitors and to support and help the development of our exhibiting artists. We work with a wide range of organisations to achieve this mission from those whose focus is on developing the younger generation such as Ilkley Manor House, Art School Ilkley, Bradford School of Art and Nell Bank Centre to those who are working with individuals, families and carers whose world involves dementia and other age related conditions.

Setting up this years secret postcard auction raising funds for and . Open this evening 5-7pm and on Saturday and Sunday 10-4pm. A massive thanks to all the generous artists who have donated their work. Just over the road there is a new exhibition celebrating the female body in all its beautiful diversity. Also raising funds for Breast Cancer Now.

Join us on Saturday 17th & Sunday 18th October, 10am–4pm, and spend the weekend exploring the studios, homes and creative spaces of artists across Ilkley and beyond.

Meet the artists, discover painting, print, illustration, ceramics, textiles and more, see where the work is made, and maybe take something original home with you. ✨

This weekend in the studio is the annual fund raiser secret postcard event.
Open Friday 5pm to 7pm as a little opening working alongside The Tinker Gallery’s opening which is 6pm to 8pm.
Both events are raising money for Breast Cancer Now so please come along and support.
Also open Saturday & Sunday 10am to 4pm.

Call for Artists!

Ilkley Arts invites you to take part in The Secret Postcard — our fifth fundraising exhibition on 3rd & 4th October 2026, with a preview evening on Friday 2nd 5pm to 7pm.

The theme this year is “Side by Side” owith all proceeds split between Ilkley Arts and Breast Cancer Now.

Submit one original 10x15cm postcard (any medium, any style) by Friday 18th September 2026

Artworks will be sold anonymously via secret auction — big names, little clues, a lot of heart.
