Made from just a handful of ingredients from the garden, this cooling botanical mist is the perfect companion for warm summer days. Keep it in the fridge and enjoy a refreshing spritz after gardening, a walk, a workout, or a relaxing sauna.
🌿 Garden Cooling Mist
You’ll need:
* 50 ml rose water (rose hydrosol)
* 50 ml distilled water
* 6–8 fresh mint leaves
* 2–3 lemon balm leaves (optional)
Method
Gently bruise the mint and lemon balm to release their natural oils. Add them to the rose water and distilled water, then leave to infuse overnight in the fridge. Strain through a fine sieve and pour into a sterilised glass spray bottle.
Benefits
🌹 Rose water helps soothe, hydrate and refresh the skin.
🌿 Mint provides an instantly cooling sensation and leaves you feeling revitalised.
🍃 Lemon balm is traditionally used to calm and comfort the skin while adding a fresh citrus-herbal fragrance.
How to store
Keep refrigerated and use within 5 days, as fresh herbs naturally shorten the shelf life.
How to use
Mist over your face, neck and décolletage whenever you need a cooling boost. It’s especially lovely after time in the sun, gardening, exercising, or stepping out of the sauna. Close your eyes, take a deep breath and enjoy a little moment of botanical self-care.
