Pooh Corner Hartfield The home of Winnie the Pooh in Hartfield, where the magical Pooh stories were originally written

The shop specialises in Winnie-the-Pooh and is home to the world's largest selection of "Pooh-phernalia". Husband and wife team, Neil and Sam Reed run the family business together with the help of a dedicated team of Pooh-natics. Originally created by Mike Ridley in 1978 and a visitor known as Christopher Robin Milne surprised visitors on a number of occasions. If you have time for ‘A Little Something' you will find inside Pooh Corner the Tea Room and Garden where you can enjoy a ‘Smackeral' or two; with delicious cream-teas, cakes, savoury snacks, coffees and teas. Pooh Corner gives information about the real Winnie-the-Pooh locations and the famous Poohsticks Bridge. You will need to discover all the Pooh Places after you arrive in Hartfield so remember to pop in and get a map! Situated in Hartfield where the famous stories were written by A.A.Milne in the 1920's. There are no charges to visit Pooh Corner or any of the real Pooh Places and they are open to the public throughout the year.

What's going in the Pooh Corner Centenary Time Capsule?

To celebrate 100 years of Winnie the Pooh, we're putting a time capsule in the grounds here at Pooh Corner. This closes off our 100th year celebrations in style... but don't worry, in 2028 it's the centenary of The House at Pooh Corner!!!

Want to leave a message for future generations? To celebrate Winnie-the-Pooh turning 100, we're putting a time capsule in the grounds here at Pooh Corner on Wednesday 14th October 2026. Full of Winnie the Pooh in 2026, this is one of the best ways we could think of making sure those celebrating 200 years of Winnie the Pooh got to enjoy the love we have for the books in 2026. There are two ways you can be part of it...

1.) Pop in and write something in our Winnie the Pooh Centenary edition books! You can write about your love of Winnie the Pooh, the Ashdown Forest, living locally and or want to tell the future about the history of the area. We're sure those in 2126 will find it all fascinating. OR

2.) Email us at [email protected] with a SHORT message as to Winnie the Pooh, the Ashdown Forest, living locally and or want to tell the future about the history of the area. We will be printing them off and placing them in the time capsule (last submissions will be at midnight on Monday October 12th).

So don't delay in playing your part in the 2026 story of Winnie the Pooh with us here in Hartfield.

JIM CUMMINGS IS VISITING POOH CORNER!! We are beyond excited to be welcoming the voice of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger to Pooh Corner for a special signing event!!!!
