🚌 HELP NEEDED — LONDON BUS HIRE:
The procession is leaving from Worcester Road! We want to hire a London bus to collect people there as it is a 5 min walk from Sutton Station, then follow the procession to the cemetery, and take everyone to the wake.
In true George Major style—because Dad loved a good discount! 😂—does anyone know a bus contact who could do us a bit of a deal for a Pearly King’s final ride? Please reply directly if you have a contact! 🙏
👔 DRESS: Pearly Regalia, traditional black, or a splash of red, white, and blue.
🍻 WAKE: TBC
Transport via bus provided!

It is with heavy hearts, but immense pride in a life so fully lived, that we share the passing of our beloved Dad, George Major.
George passed away peacefully on the 1st August, surrounded by three generations of his family.
To many, he was the Pearly King of Peckham—a proud Londoner who brought joy, tradition, and charity to everyone around him. To us, he was the heart of our family, a dad, granddad, and friend whose spirit and warmth will stay with us forever.
We know how much he meant to so many of you in the community. We will share details regarding funeral arrangements in due course once everything is finalized.
Thank you all for your love, support, and memories of George.
“Once a Pearly, always a Pearly.” 👑❤️
