Doctor Who Experience
BBC Worldwide commissioned Sarner to upgrade the award winning Doctor Who Experience attraction in Cardiff (UK) with an immersive show featuring the Twelfth Doctor, Peter Capaldi.
Sarner designed, created and installed the original ground-breaking BBC Worldwide visitor attraction in February 2011 at London’s Olympia, which then moved to Cardiff Bay in July 2012.
Lenin Nuclear Ice Breaker
The Lenin Icebreaker, a decommissioned Soviet nuclear-powered icebreaker, is now permanently docked in Murmansk, Russia. It originally entered operation in 1959 and cleared sea routes for cargo ships along Russia’s northern coast. Sarner’s design for the immersive, hands on exhibition, within the actual ship, recreates its history with a sense of wonder and intrigue, encouraging visitors to journey deeper and discover more about the arctic regions today and in the future.
Ocean Express
Ocean Express was part of a HK$5.55bn Master Redevelopment Plan and opened in Hong Kong’s Ocean Park as the world’s first, and only, themed 1,300m funicular system which operates inside a tunnel within a theme park.
Sarner utilised their many years of experience to create an attraction inspired by the 19th century explorer “Jules Verne” submarine for this attraction.
Public Service Hall
Sarner were commissioned by the Georgian Ministry of Justice to create a unique immersive educational experience to demonstrate the transition from a country that was run by ‘thieves in law,’ to a fully functioning democracy. To achieve this, Sarner made use of projection, theming, interactives and 5m high graphics to communicate the message to the attraction’s many visitors
Lacock Abbey
Sarner completed design, production and installation of new and interactive exhibitions at the National Trust’s Fox Talbot Museum at Lacock Abbey in Wiltshire (UK). The project’s completion coincided with the 175th anniversary of the invention of the first photographic negative by William Henry Fox Talbot.
Shakespeare Birthplace
Set within the grounds of the house where William Shakespeare was born, the visitor centre of The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is at the heart of this organisation, which has five houses open to the public located in and around Stratford.
Utilising our in house creative and Audio-Visual departments, Sarner designed a fully automated dark walk-through experience using the latest in AV technology, including seamless widescreen projection to present fascinating artefacts in a dynamic way.
St Elmo War Museum
Sarner were commissioned to create and install a vast array of audio visuals and graphics to tell the story of Fort St Elmo’s rich and varied history, including the dramatic Great Siege of 1565 and Malta’s pivotal role in World War II.
Working closely with the design consultants, Forward Architects Joint Venture and the main contractor Camray, Sarner delivered over 100 AV productions and created over 700 graphic panels. A highlight of the attraction is undoubtedly the immersive show, set inside the historic Cavalier that throws visitors into the heart of Fort St Elmo’s past conflicts. Sarner also delivered and installed all of the audio visual equipment, showcasing Sarner’s technological expertise whilst telling these important stories of the past through modern mediums.
Cittadella Visitors' Centre
The island of Gozo is rich in history and natural beauty, resources which, woven in with local customs and traditions, were key factors in creating this new tourist attraction. Being greener, less densely populated and urbanised than Malta, Gozo boasts an idyllic lifestyle that draws inspiration from its unique island setting and Sarner’s brief was to convert and restore the city’s disused reservoirs into a visitor centre, reinforcing the historical ties that link it with Rabat and the natural landscape. But the result is far more than that as Sarner has created an enchanting and captivating journey through several zones which puts the visitor at the centre of the journey and truly brings the story of the Cittadella to life.
