Homework! While I had white paint out for another job at home, I thought I may as well get the white sections of 640's elevator trim wheels done.
The left one is original to her, the other was donated to replace the rear wheel damaged in the accident.

John's been busy again, removing some of 640's rather poorly metalwork between frames 2 and 3. Certainly looks tidier for it.

More work on 640's front seat gland; making up the first repair plate for it!

John was busy again yesterday, deriveting and cutting out the last damaged bits of the floor fore-aft box section. Next will be removing the damaged skins forward to frame 2, then reassembling frame 3 with the new spar can begin!

There has been more progress on the Chipmunk today... and some surprising excellent news! For once, part of 640 has proven to be less damaged than we feared!

Freshly arrived in the post, a trimmer wheel to replace the broken one in 640's rear cockpit. Huge thanks to fellow Chippie restorer Davie for sending this down to us!
