Not long to go until the return of Steampunk Shenanigans to the museum on Sunday 5th July. We will have 3 authors attending the event this year, Paul Eccentric, Martin Noutch, and TG Trouper.
Paul Eccentric is a published songwriter, poet, playwright and novelist and is probably best known as being one half of the comedic beat poetry combo, The Antipoet. He has played hundreds of festivals including Glastonbury, The Edinburgh Fringe, Camp Bestival etc.
After over 40 years of writing and performing, and having several books published, Paul is now thoroughly enjoying writing in his favourite genre, that of Steampunk. His series, ‘The Periwinkle Perspective’ is published by Caffeine Nights Books and looks forward to performing some extracts at this year’s Steampunk Shenanigans.
Martin Barnabus Noutch is an author and educator based in London. He is the creator of theSteam Highwayman gamebook series and specialises in using interactive fiction in the primary classroom.
Steam Highwayman is a series of open-world, solo-roleplaying, steampunk gamebooks. Who is the Steam Highwayman? YOU are the Steam Highwayman! Yours is the adventure – yours is the midnight road!
TG Trouper, A life long Essex resident, decided to pursue his ambitions to become a professional writer, after he took early retirement from his successful career in the live music industry. After recently encountering the world of Victorian retro futurism that is steampunk, Trouper embarked on his first volume in this genre.
A Machine to End All Wars, is Troupers first foray into Steampunk. Set in 1900, it is the tale of a young inventor from a village in Essex who tries to bring his new creation to the attention of the British government. But things are seldom as they seem.
