Our Artist of the week this week is Will Spankie. His delightful bird baths and sculptures heavily inspired by natural forms fit in beautifully in the surroundings of the park.

Will studied sculpture at Sir John Cass and Central St Martins Art schools
in London. Since then he has been working as a self-employed stone carver
and letter cutter. He makes stone sculpture and lettering for public art
commissions, as well as working with garden designers and clients on a more
domestic scale for gardens and interiors. He also teaches stone carving in
schools, adult education colleges and prisons.
He works predominantly in local Jurassic limestones which can withstand an
English winter. His work is concerned with natural forms, patterns, symmetry
and the unfolding of numbers in space. He tries to capture the ambiguity and
ephemeral nature of life in the permanence of carved stone; he also enjoys
working collaboratively with people to help them realise their own projects
and ideas.

It's set to be another scorcher today, but it's nice and cool under the cover of our woodland pathways.

The birds are certainly enjoying our woodland today. In this video you can hear blackbirds, Wren's, chiffchaffs and our friendly Robins, who always pop down to our tearoom for a snack.

Pop down to see us this half-term, and listen out for all the different birds that can be heard nesting in our trees.

Open today until 5, and every day through to Monday.

No WiFi. No Xbox. And water from a well?! This definitley isn't home!

Bobbie (that’s me), Peter & Phyllis (ow! Stop pinching me), I mean Phil, have been swept off to the English countryside by our Mom, who is suddenly far too busy to play with us. Left to fend for ourselves, we stumble upon a hidden world right outside our door: a railway at the bottom of their garden.

We follow the tracks which lead to mystery, adventure, and a some strange new friends—plus romance (stop retching Peter), danger, and questions that need answers:

🔍 What do you get Mr. Perks for his birthday when you can’t even afford sweets?
⏳ Why is the 08.11 train always late?
🕵️ Who’s sneaking into the abandoned coal yard at night?
🚂 And where is Dad?

Dive into our story—raw, real, and full of heart.

⭐ “A beautiful exploration of complex feelings”
⭐ “I had goosebumps!”
⭐ “A enchanting adaptation”

Friday 5th June - 6-9pm - Golden Hour featuring Sound bath from Richard Farrington.

It is now just slightly over a week to go until our next, very special, Golden Hour here at The Cotswold Sculpture Park.

We will be joined by our good friend, Richard Farrington from Soundshine, who will be bringing his gongs and singing bowls to perform a relaxing sound bath amongst our sculptures in the park.

We invite you to unwind during an hour of sound and vibration designed to calm the nervous system, reduce stress and encourage deep relaxation.

We couldn't be more excited to share this special event with you. It's a chance to experience the park in a whole new way.

Tickets cost £25, which includes access to the park for Golden Hour too.

You can book via our website, or by contacting [email protected]

Our artists on the week this week is:
DAWN CONN

Dawn is a sculptor from New Zealand, who is celebrated for her emotive bronze and bronze resin sculptures that capture moments of movement, memory and human connection. Her work invites viewers to pause and reconnect with the quiet wonder of lived experience, transforming spaces into places of reflection and storytelling.

We are proud to have 5 of dawns pieces on display this year, each capturing a dynamic moment in time - be it the enjoyment of the scent of the flower, or the anticipation of that first taste of ice cream!

You can see Dawn's work at The Cotswold Sculpture Park unitl the 30th September.
