We’re hiring!

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organised and adaptable person to join our small team at the Cotswold Sculpture Park from March 2027.

EVENTS, GALLERY & OPERATIONS COORDINATOR

This is a wonderfully varied, hands-on role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be involved in:

• Planning and managing our events, workshops and amphitheatre shows
• Welcoming visitors and managing admissions
• Gallery sales and helping sculpture buyers
• Communicating with artists and customers
• Marketing, social media and website updates
• General administration and organisation
• Sculpture deliveries and occasional client visits
• Helping with the day-to-day running of the park

We’re looking for someone highly organised, friendly and confident who can work independently, use their own initiative and isn’t afraid to get stuck in.

Computer skills are essential and we primarily use Google Workspace. A full UK driving licence is also required.

📍 Cotswold Sculpture Park, Somerford Keynes, Cirencester, GL7 6FE
📅 Starting March 2027
⏰ Main season March–October, 4–5 days per week, 9am–5pm
🌙 Occasional evening work for events
💷 £14–£15 per hour depending on experience

Hours are likely to reduce during the winter months, although our aim is for this to develop into a year-round position for the right person.

We may have had some rain, but we are open today!

The rain has cleared the air and the gardens are feeling fresh. Pop on down to see us and check out everything we have on offer here at The Cotswold Sculpture Park.

The forecast is for light showers until 1pm, so its still a great day to come and join us.

Have you seen this charming piece - "Off To Market" by Pete Rogers? This is the first sculpture of the trail and is a favourite of lots of our visitors, young and old alike!

A post from Dave:

You’ve got to love nature. 🌿

Around ten years ago, this plant was rescued from a skip. I remember reading the label, which said it needed well-drained soil. This is something we certainly don’t have much of here at the Sculpture Park.

I planted it at the base of an oak tree, where it has quietly survived ever since, never really doing a great deal.

And then, of all years, it has chosen this exceptionally dry summer to burst into flower - while so much else in the garden is struggling with the drought.

Ten years of patience, and suddenly this wonderful display of colour.

Nature does have a way of surprising you. What a beauty. 🌺

A very special visitor this morning... ✨

This morning we were treated to the wonderful sight of two White Storks flying over the Cotswold Sculpture Park. They didn’t hang around for long (apologies for the distant video... they moved rather quickly! 😅), but it was a real privilege to see them soaring overhead.

Once an incredibly rare sight in Britain, White Storks disappeared as a breeding species over 600 years ago due to habitat loss and hunting. Thanks to the incredible work of the White Stork Project, with support from organisations including Cotswold Wildlife Park, these magnificent birds are beginning to return to our skies once again.

White Storks have long been regarded as a symbol of good fortune, hope and new life, so perhaps seeing two together is a little bit of good luck for us all.

Have you been lucky enough to spot one in the wild? 🕊️

We would like to say a huge thank you to The Festival Players International | Touring Theatre Company for their fantastic performance of The Comedy Of Errors in our amphitheatre last night. You had us all in fits of laughter from the opening scene, and a wonderful evening was had by all.

We would also like to thank everyone who came out to support us and enjoy an evening of wonderful open-air theatre.

We love seeing our amphitheatre full of smiling faces. Its why we do what we do.

This was our last show of the season, but we will be back with a fresh programme of live theatre for you all next year.

If you missed seeing The Festival Players with us this year, then check out their website and socials to see what they're up to next. You won't be disappointed!
