While mark has been busy making all things metal I’ve been focusing on painting. This one is now complete. This will be added to a collection of a sea theme I am working on! 🌊 🐙 🐠 🪼

📣 💫 WHEN THE VISION IS REALISED 💫 📣
This week marks one year since we opened our little shop/gallery next to Broadstairs Metal Craft. And what a year it’s been ! (More on that later !)
I have been working on a series of paintings featuring women and the sea and women and nature and today, with the most amazing frame, hand forged by Mark (which was literally how I imaged it) the collaboration that I feel so proud of is in a tangible form in ‘Tidal Dreams’ and is now in the shop! It has been so fun seeing a vision come together with marks finishing touch after hours spent on the canvas ! Makes it all worthwhile ! Putting this up today in the shop has made me think of the journey that Mark and I started last April with The Forge 🔥 which continues to excite and inspire us !!
Lastly I just want to say ..
A massive thank you to all you wonderful repeat customers , all the commissions and all the lovely comments!
I am personally truly touched !

🦀 HOT CRAB! 🦀
The best type of crab is a blacksmith crab! One that lasts for generations !
Like our lobsters, this was hand-forged using traditional blacksmithing techniques—hammer, anvil, and a lot of heat! It’s legs are made by using upcycled metal and it’s body is made of raw steel which is heated and shaped in the forge, meaning each crab is unique ! These are heavy duty industrial sculptural works that are built to last and would be perfect for the industrial-chic home, seafood lover or art collector who appreciates the ancient skill of blacksmithery!🔥
