What a wonderful way to finish our 5-week Watercolour Painting Course for Adults! 🎨💙

Today was our final session, and we completed an architectural watercolour, working with beautiful Daniel Smith paints on Saunders Waterford paper. We explored light and shadow, perspective, atmosphere and how to bring architecture to life with watercolour.

It has been an amazing five weeks full of learning, experimenting, creativity and some truly beautiful results. I have loved watching everyone become more confident with the medium and develop their own style from week to week.

And today, everyone received their Certificate of Completion! 🎓✨

A huge congratulations to all my students — you have worked so hard and should be very proud of what you have achieved. Thank you for such an enjoyable, friendly and creative course. It has been a real pleasure teaching you all. ❤️

Well done everyone! 👏🎨🖌️

Today in our watercolour course, we played with water, Daniel Smith tube paints and a simple plastic card. 🎨

The colours moved and mingled, and expressive, semi-abstract landscapes began to appear. Each one has its own atmosphere. It was a lovely session of experimenting and seeing where the paint took us.

Well done, everyone! Your paintings are beautiful. 💙

Our latest drawing course session focused on faces and portraiture. Students studied facial proportions and used charcoal to practise drawing expressive eyes. They then worked in pencil to create portraits of Michael Jackson.

Fantastic results! Well done everyone!

Yesterday’s watercolour session was filled with colour and creativity. We explored the colour wheel, learned about warm and cool colours, and practised mixing different shades.

The students then used what they had learned to create colourful, expressive paintings of hares. Each painting developed its own character and unique combination of colours. Here are some lovely moments from the session and the beautiful finished works.

Today we had the second session of our Drawing Course for adults.

Students learned how to draw animals, how to build the texture of fur and hair, and how to use fineliners to create detail, rhythm and character in their drawings.

For their independent work, everyone created a bird drawing, and the results were very good.

Well done to all our students at Kent Talents Art Studio & Gallery.

Today’s adult watercolour session was all about grapes and the beautiful wet-on-wet technique.

We worked on wet paper, allowing the colours to flow softly into each other and create fresh, natural effects. It was lovely to see everyone experimenting with water, pigment and timing.

Here are a few photos from the session: some beautiful student works and a couple of moments from the painting process.

Well done to everyone. A very enjoyable and creative class at Kent Talents Art Studio & Gallery.
