Join us for a cosy autumn evening of poetry, conversation and creativity at Kent Talents Arts Centre.

📖 Sunday 18 October 2026 at 6.30pm

Whether you are a poet yourself or simply love listening to beautiful words, everyone is warmly welcome. Come along to enjoy the performances, meet fellow poetry lovers, or bring a poem of your own to share during our open mic.

There is always something very special about our Poetry Club evenings - relaxed, friendly and full of wonderful voices and unexpected moments. ❤️

Huge congratulations to our wonderful student Wiki, who is only 10 years old and is now exhibiting her artwork at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition in London!
Seeing her at the exhibition, standing beside her painting, was such an emotional moment. We are all incredibly proud of her. This is a fantastic achievement and one she will always remember.
Well done, Wiki! Your hard work, imagination and love of art have brought you to the Royal Academy! 🌟👏

What a truly wonderful evening we had yesterday! ✨
Our Poetry Club was full once again, and the gallery was filled with poetry, music, laughter and such a warm, joyful atmosphere.
From sunny Jamaica to the Football World Cup, the poems and performances took us on a beautiful journey. Our talented musicians and singers made the evening even more special - we listened, we sang together, we laughed and shared so many lovely moments.
A heartfelt thank you to all our wonderful poets, performers, musicians and singers, and to everyone who came along and filled the gallery with warmth and happiness.

Evenings like this remind us how special our Poetry Club community has become. We cannot wait to welcome you all back to the next one! ❤️🎤🎶📖

After two exhausting days of battling a major water leak in the gallery, carrying paintings to safety, moving furniture, drying floors, and worrying about the artwork, it was such a wonderful surprise to receive some truly uplifting news from the Hilliard Society.

Five of our talented young artists have been recognised with awards!

🏆 Emilia ("Lady Bird") – The Young Artist Award 1st Prize (Ages 14–18) and The Sara Lee Award

🏆 Annabelle ("Blue and White" ) – The Young Artist Award 1st Prize (Ages 19–25)

🏆 Maria ("Creature of No Ocean") – The Excellence in Sculpture Award and The Young Artist Award 2nd Prize (Ages 14–18)

⭐ Zuzanna ("The Doll House") – The Young Artist Award Honourable Mention

⭐ Maia ("Chicken") – The Young Artist Award Honourable Mention (Ages 14–18)

Just when I felt completely exhausted from dealing with the leak and its aftermath, this news reminded me why all the hard work is worth it.

I could not be more proud of these young artists. Their talent, dedication, and creativity continue to inspire me every day. Seeing their achievements recognised at a national exhibition is a truly special moment for our studio.

Congratulations, Emilia, Annabelle, Maria, Zuzanna, and Maia! You have worked so hard for this success, and you deserve every bit of recognition. ❤️🎨

✨ Drawing Course Completed! ✨

Yesterday we celebrated the final session of our Drawing Course at Kent Talents Art Studio & Gallery. Our students explored one-point and two-point perspective and completed beautiful lavender field drawings in soft pastels.

Over the course, they learned:
🎨 Drawing and shading basic shapes
🎨 Animal drawing techniques
🎨 Face and body proportions
🎨 Architectural drawing and perspective
🎨 Working with a variety of materials, including charcoal, graphite pencils, fineliners, and soft pastels

It has been wonderful to watch everyone's confidence and skills grow from week to week. We received fantastic feedback from our students, and the best reward is seeing how proud they are of their progress.

Congratulations to everyone who completed the course! 🌿💜 We are delighted that our students enjoyed the experience and are already looking forward to moving on to a more advanced course.

Thank you all for your enthusiasm, creativity, and hard work. We can't wait to see what you create next! ❤️

I still can’t quite believe this! ❤️✨

Last week I was contacted by SMILER, who wanted to feature my painting of Rod Stewart on their page. Such a lovely and unexpected surprise!

I painted this portrait inspired by his incredible stage presence and expressive personality, so seeing it shared with his fans honestly made my week.

These little moments mean so much to me and remind me why I love being an artist. Thank you to everyone who supports my work and follows my creative journey 🎨💕

So much fun at yesterday’s drawing course session at Kent Talents Art Studio & Gallery! ❤️

We explored body proportions and then used those skills to create beautiful fashion design sketches. It was wonderful to see everyone developing their confidence, creativity, and individual style. From elegant dresses to expressive poses, every project had its own personality.
