Richard Wentworth | COINCITY

Far Far Gallery is delighted to announce a forthcoming exhibition by Richard Wentworth.

COINCITY brings together a new body of work developed through Wentworth’s recent use of casting and fabrication. The exhibition continues a longstanding enquiry into the relationships between objects, materials, architecture and the everyday, inviting us to reconsider the familiar through subtle shifts of scale, context and material.

Over recent years, Wentworth has worked closely with Lockbund Sculpture Foundry , established and run by Far Far Gallery owners Simon Allison and Jane Hamilton, to develop works for two public sites on the Thames riverside in central London. This collaboration prompted an exploration into the possibilities of casting, both as a practical process and as a way of thinking about sculpture. The foundry is not simply a place of production, but a site of exchange, experimentation and problem-solving, where materials, processes and expertise become integral to the development of the work.

About the exhibition:
DANIEL SILVER | PEOPLE
8 August - 6 September

In 2020, Daniel Silver spent several days observing the acclaimed S-E-D – Sharon Eyal Dance Company during rehearsals in Bern, Switzerland, producing a series of watercolours that captured not only physical movement but also the intensity of collective presence, the relationships between bodies in space, and those fleeting moments when choreography seems to transcend the physical. These observations became the catalyst for a new body of oil-painted ceramic sculptures, first presented at Fruitmarket Gallery Edinburgh in 2022.

For People, Silver presents the next chapter of this ongoing investigation. The exhibition includes, for the first time, the life-sized, bronze-painted sculpture, Standing People 2026, alongside a group of smaller bronze-painted dancer sculptures developed in collaboration with and . These are shown together with a selection of watercolours made during the rehearsals and ensuing perforated drawings, allowing visitors to trace the evolution of the work from direct observation to sculptural form.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening of CLARITY and those who have visited during the exhibitions first week - we’ve been thrilled by the phenomenal response so far.

We continue to be open weekly, Thursday - Sunday, 10am-4 pm until 23 August.

A reminder that the gallery is free to visit and we welcome group visits from schools, colleges, universities, art societies, community organisations, social groups, and social prescribing programmes. We are happy to support inclusive and accessible visits for disabled attendees and can adapt tours and gallery experiences to suit different needs and preferences.
