PIERRE ROY
19/02 – 28/03/2026
37 Rue Vaneau 75007 Paris

Following the presentation of works by Pierre Roy (1880–1950) at Frieze Masters in October 2025, is pleased to present in its Paris space more than twenty pieces mainly from the artist’s Estate, spanning the 1910s to the late 1940s.

First recognized by Guillaume Apollinaire in the early 1910s, Roy was involved with Surrealist circles from the very beginning of the movement (Galerie Pierre, 1925). He developed a particularly close affinity with Giorgio de Chirico, who admired the “strange lyrical grandeur” of his paintings.

In the 1930s, his distinctive still lifes were shown in major galleries in the United States and England (Brummer Gallery; Julien Levy Gallery; Wildenstein & Co), contributing to the spread of certain Surrealist motifs internationally, even as he maintained a deliberately independent stance, simultaneously a precursor and a peripheral figure within Surrealism. During this same period, he also became a significant contributor to Vogue US, shaping the magazine’s visual identity through the covers he designed. During his lifetime, Roy received special attention from critics such as Jean Cocteau, Waldemar George, and Franz Roh who associated him with Magic Realism insofar as he connects the mundane with the more fantastical and irrational aspects of his peers’ paintings. The artist was also notably commented on and collected by American filmmakers Leo Hurwitz (“Mice and Things: Notes on Pierre Roy and Walt Disney”, Creative art, May 1931) and Billy Wilder. Rare on the market, owing to a limited output and early acquisition by major institutional collections (MoMA, Tate Modern, Centre Pompidou), his work has not been the subject of a gallery exhibition of this scale since the 1990s.

is very pleased to announce the acquisition of Leny Guetta’s "Le Dénouement" by the Rubell Museum in Miami. The work, highlighted on the occasion of the artist’s very first gallery exhibition, will now join a renowned collection celebrated for its visionary commitment to supporting major artists at the earliest stages of their careers. Founded in the 1990s under the name Rubell Family Collection, the Rubell Museum has been behind numerous exhibitions of artists such as Jean-Michel Basquiat, Cecily Brown, Keith Haring or Jeff Koons.

Opening: December 11th 2025, 6—9pm

is pleased to announce its forthcoming exhibition Leonor Fini: Dés/habiller, which will include a conversation by Andrea Kollnitz , followed by a signing of her latest book, Becoming Leonor Fini (Bloomsbury Visual Arts, 2025). The show brings together a selection of major paintings previously exhibited at the Centre Pompidou and the Palazzo Reale in Milan such as Extrême nuit, 1977, 14 Chats dans la forêt, 1962 or Ea, 1978. Whilst the paintings from the 40s are generally the most celebrated, the exhibition also showcases masterpieces from the 60s and the 70s that highlight the artist's virtuosity in rendering fabrics and surrealistic environments. Gleaming in the night, as transparent as water and possessed of an extraordinary fluidity, Fini's textiles from that period heighten the dreamlike quality of her most characteristic subjects. As a complement to the paintings, we will be showing unseen photographs that echo Kollnitz’s research into the essential role of self-performance and self-fashioning in Fini's artistic practice.

LES MURMURES
24/10/2025 - 6/12/2025

is proud to announce its representation of artist Leny Guetta , beginning with his first solo exhibition, 𝘓𝘦𝘴 𝘔𝘶𝘳𝘮𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴. Drawing on Mannerist and Surrealist traditions, Guetta has spent seven years refining a highly sophisticated technique, resulting in a body of work that conveys his poetic vision of human nature. His portraits, with their sumptuous fabrics, direct gazes, and meticulously staged compositions, serve as symbolic reflections of inner passions. 𝘓𝘦𝘴 𝘔𝘶𝘳𝘮𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴 marks a significant new chapter for the artist, who until now has worked largely within a private circle of collectors, and represents a fresh direction for the gallery, historically associated with figures such as Leonor Fini.

WIN KNOWLTON
22/05/2025 – 21/06/2025

Born in 1953 in Boston, US, Win Knowlton lives and works in Berlin, Germany. The artist is known for his post-minimalist drawings, sculptures and installations featured in many American and international collections since the 80s. The large charcoal works on paper currently on display at offer an introduction to Knowlton’s mature abstract style with its recurring industrial and agricultural evocations, in the same vein as “Plowman”, 1984, presented in the MoMa’s drawings department (NY). An ensemble of skillfully constructed color compositions testifies to the artist's talent for transparency and superimposition effects, mixing gouache and watercolor on sensual – Japon or Arches – papers. Knowlton’s visual language is most often characterized by a predominance of curves and organic contours over angular designs, contrasting with more machine-inspired features and incorporating a touch of gripping humor as in Chicken & Egg, 2010.
