URBAN CODES — SANTIAGO CORRAL
We are delighted to announce our representation of Santiago Corral, presented for the first time in Spain with Urban Codes, his first solo exhibition at Isolina Arbulú Gallery.

Corral’s meticulously rendered oil paintings transform familiar interiors and urban landscapes into quietly unsettling, imagined worlds.

CLOSING FOR SUMMER BREAK

As we close the gallery for our summer break, and we look back on an extraordinary season, I would like to thank all the artists, collectors, collaborators, friends and visitors who have been part of this journey. Every exhibition, conversation and visit has made this season truly special.

Since opening Galería Isolina Arbulu in 2019, my aim has been to create a space for discovery, dialogue and new connections through art. This season has made that vision feel stronger than ever.
And there is much to look forward to.

This autumn, we begin a new international collaboration with AN INC. Gallery in Seoul, presenting Jaime Velázquez in Korea and welcoming Korean artists Insung Lee and Kyungtaek Lee to Marbella.

And in September, we open the new season with the first solo exhibition in Europe by Mexican artist Santiago Corral, who joins the gallery this year.

The gallery is now closed for the summer. We look forward to welcoming you back in September.

🎪 THE WORLD IS A CIRCUS, DO YOUR TRICK!
Nanon Morsink

Now on view in the Black Room at Galería Isolina Arbulú, Marbella.

For her fourth exhibition with the gallery, Dutch artist Nanon Morsink presents a new body of textile sculptures exploring the fragile boundary between freedom and representation, play and control.

In The World Is a Circus, Do Your Trick!, the circus becomes a portrait of contemporary life: a place where visibility is currency and we are all expected to perform in order to be seen.

Working with rope, wool and found textiles, Morsink creates sculptural figures suspended between movement and restraint. Acrobats, puppets, performers and prisoners coexist in a vibrant theatrical universe where colour attracts us, while revealing the hidden structures that sustain the spectacle.

Installed in the intimate setting of the Black Room, these works invite viewers to slow down, come closer and question what lies beneath the performance.

For her fourth exhibition with Galería Isolina Arbulú, Nanon Morsink transforms the Black Room into a theatrical landscape of textile sculptures, where play meets control, colour conceals tension, and every figure has a role to perform.
Some watch.

Most do both.
As you move through the installation, the boundary between spectator and performer slowly disappears.

The new Louis Vuitton City Guide Marbella has just been released, and I’m deeply honoured to be its featured guest.

Rather than highlighting a hotel, restaurant or shop, this edition includes a personal portrait, sharing my Marbella through the eyes of someone who has called this city home for nearly 30 years and has dedicated her career to building its contemporary art scene.

We talked about my journey across countries before settling here, the gallery, the artists who continue to surprise me, and why, at my very first art fair, I refused to be listed under Málaga. Marbella is my city, and I’ve spent years trying to help put its cultural scene on the map. Being the only guest featured in this edition makes this recognition especially meaningful.

My thanks to and for considering my story worth telling.

And This Is How I Paint My Dreams
Every exhibition begins long before opening night.
It starts with empty walls, artworks waiting to find their place, conversations, adjustments, and the challenge of imagining how everything will come together.
Over the past days, we have been installing And This Is How I Paint My Dreams, bringing together the work of Quique Sarzamora, Claudia Torán and Jon Amorrortu.
Then came the opening: the conversations, the encounters, and the pleasure of seeing the exhibition come alive through its visitors.
Thank you to everyone who joined us.
The exhibition remains on view until August 6 at Galería Isolina Arbulu.
