For Jaime Velázquez, painting begins with the world around him.

Politics, technology, social tensions and the constant flow of information become part of a visual language in which the contemporary meets history and tradition.

In The Age of Noise, Velázquez brings together references to digital culture, graphic design and urban art with Mozarabic ornamentation and traditional Spanish tiles — connecting the digital and the analogue, the present and the past.

In this reel, Jaime Velázquez speaks about the ideas and influences behind the new body of work created for his solo exhibition in Seoul.

Santiago Corral — Urban Codes

Santiago Corral transforms familiar urban spaces into scenes suspended somewhere between reality and imagination.
Through meticulous oil painting, architecture, interiors and fragments of the city become settings for unexpected moments — a sofa floating above a rooftop, water entering a domestic space, nature quietly reclaiming the built environment.
There is something cinematic in Corral’s work: each painting feels like a still from a story whose beginning and ending remain unknown. The extraordinary appears within the everyday, inviting us to pause, look closer, and imagine what might have happened — or what is about to happen.

We are delighted to begin a new international collaboration between Galería Isolina Arbulu, Marbella, and AN INC, Seoul, bringing together artists and audiences from Spain and South Korea through contemporary art.
It is especially exciting for us to present Jaime Velázquez in Korea with his exhibition The Age of Noise, a new body of work in which everyday symbols become reflections of our time.
Combining the precision of classical oil painting with the visual language of contemporary urban culture, his works first draw us in through colour and beauty, before revealing what lies beneath the surface.
We are incredibly excited to introduce Jaime’s work to a new audience in Seoul and to see this dialogue between Spain and Korea begin.
The Age of Noise marks the first chapter of an exchange between Galería Isolina Arbulu and AN INC — and we look forward to sharing much more from Seoul very soon.

Black Room

Born in Germany in 1956 and based in Spain since 1984, Thomas Dressler has developed a photographic practice deeply connected to landscape and nature.

Over the years, his work has taken him across Africa and Andalusia, always searching for new ways of observing the territory. In this series, aerial photography becomes a tool for transformation: from above, familiar landscapes lose their scale and references, revealing unexpected geometries, textures and rhythms.

The result lies somewhere between photography and abstraction, images that invite us to pause, look again, and discover the extraordinary within the landscape.

With A Shift in Perspective, our Black Room continues its new chapter dedicated to photography and more experimental artistic practices.

In his first solo exhibition with the gallery and his first presentation in Spain, Mexican artist Santiago Corral invites us into spaces that feel familiar, yet strangely transformed.
Domestic interiors, buildings and urban landscapes are overtaken by snow, water, vegetation and the passage of time. Human figures are absent, but their presence can be felt everywhere, leaving us to imagine the stories behind each scene.
