[News] MVRDV has unveiled Woma, a new mixed-use development in Miami’s Wynwood neighbourhood featuring 163 residences, a central plaza and a colourful facade designed to break down the building’s scale.

Using red, blue, yellow and green elements, varied spandrels and mullions, and sections of scalloped metallic mesh, the studio aims to create a more human-scale presence while referencing Wynwood’s creative and fashion-driven character.

You should consider creating your own website as a way to define yourself, but also as a tool for your next job search, and considering the increasing levels of turnover, you may want to have the tools set up in advance.

We've put together a list of 5 tips so you can better understand why creating a website makes sense!
🔎 Which website platform should you use starting off? Squarespace or WordPress? or Another option?: While Squarespace is more beginner friendly and seems cheaper at first, the slow load times can lead to possible leads leaving your webpage, as well as lower quality SEO results. WordPress on the other hand provides more versatility and flexible templates that are easier to personalize and administer over time.

🖥️ Copywriting is a skill that many claim to have, but not many know how to properly execute for their personalized situation!: What are you saying in your text on your webpage? and how are you saying it? These are the two questions you should ask yourself before you start working on the text that will be placed within your website.

✅ Advice for how you should design and present your “homepage”: Make sure that your homepage is inviting and easy to use for those that land on it. So you should have simple summaries of areas such as “About”, “Projects”, and “Services”. Ideally, you should be able to give the audience a quick idea of what your design style is like and what kinds of projects you have worked on.

[News] The William and Charlotte Bloomberg Public Science Common at Boston’s Museum of Science is nearing completion ahead of its public opening on October 10, 2026. Designed by William Rawn Associates, the 10,000-square-foot glass-enclosed venue overlooks the Charles River and Boston skyline and features movable walls and retractable seating for flexible educational and public programming.

The space will use immersive media, spatial audio, live data visualization and broadcasting technology to explore subjects such as artificial intelligence, climate change, public health and space exploration. Its program will include daily museum activities, robotics demonstrations and special events with scientists, creators and public figures.

[Participants] A second-year Civil Engineering and Construction student at École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in France is preparing to move from Normandy to New York City for an internship at GMS. We've all been there: we've finished our college experience and we're eager to start working as an architect. But...where to start? With these 8 tips you'll know what steps to take! 👏

🔎 Review your CV/Resume and Portfolio. Does it look up to par?: While your Portfolio is your business card, your resume provides the firm you are applying to with a sense of who you are and where you have been.

💡 Make sure you are realistic and start with what makes the most sense: It is probably unlikely that you will be going to the big leagues right off the bat, so you should try to make the most of what you are given.

💪 Break out of your comfort zone!: You will not be able to grow and improve if you are never challenging yourself and your ways of thinking and working.

💬 Creativity and your imagination can open up more doors: Architects and designers are expected to solve problems through creative and new, effective ways and techniques.

📲 Research! Research! Research!: Just as you research a firm for your portfolio and for your interview, you should constantly be trying to learn more and more about the firms you are truly trying to be part of.

💻 Maximize your online presence: You must create a brand that is readily available for firms and decision makers to get to know you and what you are trying to achieve before actually meeting you in-person.

🤝 Improve your professional network: One of the best ways to keep a log of all of the work you have done and will do, is through a personal blog or some kind of outlet for you to express yourself and show who you are to the world.
