Hello dear qu**rs, it’s me again!🫶💖
It is time to blow the dust off your scissors and needles! I know you always have some clothes in need of altering. Do they lack something ✨extra✨ to make them yours? A fugly thrifted tie that needs some queering up? Or maybe an old favourite shirt that is just not you anymore, but still too dear to be thrown away?
💫 Come and make it your own again!
In addition to altering your own rags, this time we will try to create something collective! Together we will choose pieces for the outfit(s), and take turns working on them. Everyone will get to add a piece of themself to the outfit and then we will put it all back together! Any type of altering is welcome: painting, cutting and combining, stitching/embroidery, rhinestones, fabric collage, patches.
✨The completed pieces will be exposed at the TASE exhibition (ofc with all your names mentioned) alongside my thesis publication💖
Prior experience in sewing is beneficial (if your idea involves sewing), but not mandatory, as you can also add some bling to your rags, rip them up, or even paint something on them. If you want to sew, but don’t know how—it is not that hard to learn the basics; you just need to ask for help (and silence your inner perfectionist, since it’s your first time)!🧵🪡✨
Bring your own piece of clothing that you want to alter and any materials you are willing to bring (scissors, threads, needles etc)! We will try to provide needles and scissors as well, although in limited amounts! If you have some special materials you want to work with, please take them with you 🙏❤️
The space will provide 2-3 sewing machines for careful sharing, but be ready to make adjustments by hand stitching, in order to not create long queues! Some old clothes, threads and leftover fabrics will also be provided. Remember, sharing is caring!🪡
⭐️ PS! Fill in the registration form!
The participation fee is 2eur, to cover the cost of the materials.

The event will have an intro so, if possible, arrive on time, but you are also very welcome to join later!
