In the 1980s, Ivana Šrámková .sramkova brought a new dimension to Czechoslovakian glass art: humor and playfulness. With her figurative sculptures of people and animals - which she reduces to their simplest forms - she breathed new life into glass art. And onto the canvas as well, as can be seen here! 🖼
The two objects on display here ("Sitzend" and "Mensch und Maschine") were even part of her final exam at the Czech Academy of Arts , in 1987!
We are delighted to be able to exhibit such significant works here at the Glass Museum. ✨
