As part of our Summer Edition, Nadine Wölk’s cyanotype Flow I takes us into the underwater world of a swimming pool, creating an atmosphere of depth, stillness, and weightlessness.

Flow I is Wölk’s first cyanotype, marking the artist’s first translation of her distinctive ballpoint pen drawings into a photographic printing process.

Internationally acclaimed for his monumental paintings featuring enigmatic figures and fantastical beings, Burgert creates richly detailed and atmospheric compositions.
For artflash, he has created a heliogravure portrait, printed by the renowned Paupers Press in London.

About the work, Burgert says: “The portrait is really the idea of a poem—the idea of stillness with oneself. That is why the figure is so introspective, with closed eyes.”

We are very pleased to once again present watercolors by Taichi Nakamura .watercolors at artflash. His unique works form a precious series in which striking formal contrasts converge: the clearly contoured, graphically defined human figure and the surrounding nature, dissolving in the most delicate watercolor technique.

“I choose motifs that resist me,” explains Cornelius Völker (*1965), describing his approach. Today, we are pleased to present Grande Dame, a large-format lithograph at artflash.

Völker, a former master student of Dieter Krieg and A. R. Penck, has devoted an entire series titled Grande Dame to this subject. In the present work, a woman bends down toward a small dog to gently stroke it. In doing so, he allows us to witness how art can be imbued with life.

Georg Baselitz turned 88 on January 23!
From April 1, the Museum der Moderne Salzburg honors the Salzburg-based artist with two exhibitions under the title “BASELITZ JETZT.”
We’re taking this momentum as an opportunity to understand “BASELITZ JETZT” quite literally, and to present once again a special aquatint etching from 2015. The work was already completely sold out but fortunately, we were able to secure a few remaining impressions from the publisher’s archive.
