The American artist Joan Jonas is widely regarded as a pioneer of video and performance art.

Today artflash presents a poetic yet striking work by Jonas that explores perception, deception, and collective memory. The title of the work, Disinformed to Death, points to a central question of our time: how does the manipulation of knowledge shape our understanding of history and truth?

We are delighted to present a very special work by the late artist K.H. Hödicke (1938–2024) on artflash today.✨

In this edition, Hödicke’s interest in placing the everyday into a new context becomes especially clear. The window cleaner shifts from an object of use to a conscious pictorial element, transforming the familiar into an artistic statement.
