Welchen kreativen Anspruch setzen Sie sich bei dem erschaffen Ihrer Arbeiten? Sie strahlen eine fast meditative Leichtigkeit aus, während sie gleichzeitig präzise konstruiert sind. Was inspiriert Sie, diese Balance zu finden?

C.G. Es ist ein Punkt in mir, den ich spüre, und der mir sagt, so ist es gut. An diesem Punkt hat jedes Element seinen Platz gefunden, und die Arbeit beginnt zu fließen. Die Farbverläufe hält Dunkel, Partien und Lichtreflexe'.

Wie beginnen Sie ein neues Werk? Entwickeln Sie eine klare Vision im Voraus, oder lassen Sie sich vom Material und seinen Reaktionen leiten?

C.G. Der Farbigkeit und der Komposition Materialien müssen vorbereitet werden. Dann beginnt die Arbeit erst einmal zu locker wie möglich, bis die Auseinandersetzung immer ernsthafter wird. Ich kann sagen, es wird immer anders, als ich es mir vorgestellt habe.

Die Galerie Sara Lily Perez freut sich, die Ausstellung "The Sky Was Never Meant to Hold Us" zu präsentieren eine Duo-Ausstellung mit Werken von Christiane Grimm und John Vitale.

Vernissage 7. März | 17:00 - 20:00h | freier Eintritt

Diese immersive Schau lädt die Besucher dazu ein, die Schnittstelle von Material, Licht, Rhythmus und Wahrnehmung zu erleben, an der die Grenzen zwischen Form und Auflösung, Gewicht und Schwerelosigkeit, Farbe und Klang in einem stetigen Fluss bleiben.

Durch ihre jeweilige künstlerische Praxis erkunden Grimm und Vitale die Grenzen von Materialität und Wahrnehmung, indem sie Techniken einsetzen, die Bewegung, veränderte Perspektiven und eine sich ständig weiterentwickelnde Auseinandersetzung mit ihren Werken fördern.

The history of Ukraine unfolds through cycles of destruction and renewal, repeating the creases of the landscape, through generations. When a cataclysm occurs, it splinters the environment, leaving behind fragments of what once was. But what grows in its wake? Cherednychenko’s work speaks to this question with subtlety and strength, capturing the quiet effort of regrowth and the beauty that reclaims even the harshest of landscapes. Her abstract reimaginings of botanical forms hold a tension: roots that push through cracks, petals that bear the weight of storms. Each piece feels like an intimate act of care, yet it speaks to a larger, shared experience of survival and persistence. A metaphor for endurance—a place where destruction does not mean the end, but the resurgence of the new. “Re:generation” invites us to see how beauty survives upheaval and to understand that the act of resurgence is as much about resilience as it is about hope.

Artist Feature Of The Week

STEFAN HEYER

Stefan Heyer and his gestural abstracts are an exploration of histories, both personal and shared, and are inspired by pop culture, esoteric and philosophical issues of our postmodern digital age alienation, nature and history in general. Coming from a working-class background, his journey to a career in the arts was not born of privilege, but of passion. Experiencing the DIY Attitude of the 80s and 90s, it was this aesthetic underground rather than through academic training that has developed Stefan Heyer’s style and consciousness of art. After a career in street fashion as an art and creative director he became a full time artist in 2008.
