Thirteen naked women and thirteen naked men. Almost 30 naked people in a small room.
It's over 30 degrees outside, and it seems to be hot inside as well.
But don't worry; those naked people are just sketches drawn by Alexander Baturin.
"I enjoy doing n**e sketches.
I regularly sketch at three studios in St. Petersburg and many in Moscow.
I also invite nonprofessional models - ordinary people who want to try something new - to pose for me.
These sketches are examples of my work. They were drawn from life.
Each sketch took about ten minutes to complete.
Working from life is important to me. I need to see the person, see their skin, and feel the model’s emotions.
I have several n**e art projects that I’m trying to realise", Baturin tells.
His sketches have been exhibited several times in Moscow and once in Berlin.
Alexander Baturin was born 1974 in Weimar, Germany.
He spent his childhood in the small Siberian city of Angarsk.
He studied in the Irkutsk Art School and graduated with a degree in painting.
In 2006 he moved to Moscow and started a career in graphic design for outdoor advertising and print media.
In 2022 he became one of the founders of the "Artists of Chertanovo" creative association.
His present exhibition in Berlin is curated by Roman Zolotoi
