From shirt and tie to cutting-edge technology 🧑‍⚖️⚽

John Langenus from Belgium officiated the very first FIFA World Cup Final in 1930 in a shirt, tie, and knickerbockers.
Slavko Vinčić from Slovenia took charge of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Final wearing a body camera, earpieces for communication, real-time tracking systems and more.

Boston Stadium, Foxborough 🤩🏟️

The venue hosted seven matches across the FIFA World Cup 2026, including the quarter-final between France and Morocco 🇫🇷🇲🇦

However, it was not the stadium's first experience of World Cup action. In 2003 it was one of six venues for the FIFA Women's World Cup, hosting four matches, and providing the home support for the USA in their victorious quarter-final against Norway 🇺🇸🇳🇴
