Our beautiful 100 year old heritage building (former guest house for the Trappist Monks of Our Lady of the Prairies Monastery) houses a stunning gallery that is available for event rentals year round, with a Steinway grand piano, and outdoor gardens, walking paths, and fire circle. Join Seeds Of Life Alliance and ecologist Chris Penner for a community planting workshop at St. Norbert Arts Centre. Learn about the ecosystems where land meets water and plant native species that support birds, pollinators and other wildlife.

This World Mental Health Day, we’re celebrating the places that give us room to pause and feel connected. At St. Norbert Arts Centre, nature, art and community are part of what makes this place so special.

Our in-house catering and events team brings people together over delicious food, from wedding receptions and family celebrations to group retreats and gatherings. With personalized menus and a hands-on approach to planning, they help take care of the details so hosts can enjoy the occasion alongside their guests.

Meet Elphaba, Glinda, Pirate Pete and our wizard, Chad. Enjoy tarot readings, a photo station, potion making, crafts, colouring and ghost tours.

Today, we reflect on the land beneath our feet and the stories it holds.

The land where the St. Norbert Arts Centre stands has a history that reaches far beyond the monastery and far beyond SNAC. It has long been a place of gathering, connection and relationship with the land.

We honour the Indigenous Peoples who have gathered on, cared for and held relationships with these lands across generations, and we remember the children, families and communities forever impacted by the residential school system.

Today, we invite our community to spend a moment on the land to reflect, to learn and to remember.

Aujourd’hui, nous prenons un moment pour réfléchir à la terre sous nos pieds et aux histoires qu’elle porte.

L’histoire du territoire où se trouve le Centre des arts de Saint-Norbert remonte bien au-delà du monastère et du Centre lui-même. Depuis longtemps, c’est un lieu de rassemblement, de rencontre et de liens avec la terre.

Nous rendons hommage aux peuples autochtones qui se sont rassemblés sur ces terres, en ont pris soin et ont entretenu des liens avec elles de génération en génération. Nous nous souvenons aussi des enfants, des familles et des communautés marqués à jamais par le système des pensionnats autochtones.

Aujourd’hui, nous invitons notre communauté à prendre un moment sur ce territoire pour réfléchir, apprendre et se souvenir.

One last Garden Club before the season wraps up! 🌳

Join us at the St. Norbert Arts Centre on Wednesday, October 7 at 6:00 PM for a mini workshop on fruit tree pruning. We’ll learn how and when to prune to encourage healthier trees and more fruit.

Come pick up some practical skills and help us give our fruit trees a little fall care. We’d love to see you there!

Meet our tenants ✨

Meet Tijen Roshko, the creative force behind Kolye TJN. After moving from physics into fashion, she founded the Winnipeg brand to bring art, science and design together in wearable pieces made from sustainably sourced wool felt.

Tijen creates from her studio at SNAC and works with University of Manitoba architecture students, giving them hands-on experience in design and production.

Meet Tijen, explore her studio and see her work up close at our Open House this Sunday!

Voici Tijen Roshko, la créatrice derrière Kolye TJN. Après être passée de la physique à la mode, elle a fondé cette marque de Winnipeg pour réunir l’art, la science et le design dans des créations à porter, faites de feutre de laine provenant de sources durables.

Tijen crée dans son atelier au Centre des arts de Saint-Norbert et collabore avec des étudiants en architecture de l’Université du Manitoba, leur offrant une expérience concrète en design et en production.

Venez rencontrer Tijen, visiter son atelier et découvrir ses créations lors de nos portes ouvertes ce dimanche!

Full Moon Ceremony at SNAC 🌕

On September 28, we welcome community to gather around the sacred fire on the Ceremonial Ground at the St. Norbert Arts Centre.

Join us for an evening of connection to the land, the spirit world and our ancestors.

Guests are welcome to bring a drum or rattle and something to share for the feast. Those who identify as women are encouraged to wear a long skirt.

Cérémonie de la pleine lune au SNAC 🌕

Le 28 septembre, nous invitons la communauté à se rassembler autour du feu sacré sur le terrain cérémoniel du Centre des arts de Saint-Norbert.

Joignez-vous à nous pour une soirée de connexion avec la terre, le monde des esprits et nos ancêtres.

Les personnes présentes sont invitées à apporter un tambour ou un hochet, ainsi que quelque chose à partager pour le festin. Les personnes qui s’identifient comme femmes sont encouragées à porter une jupe longue.
