Old Log Church Museum The Old Log Church Museum is one of the oldest buildings in Whitehorse, Yukon still on its original site.

The Old Log Church Museum fosters appreciation of the complex and evolving relationships between the Anglican Church, First Nations, early settlers and today’s residents to better understand the nature of Yukon society. The church was built in 1900 and the rectory behind was built in 1901, both by Reverend Richard Bowen. This was done at the behest of the Anglican Bishop Bompas who was concerned about the lack of a place of worship for the then-new community of "White Horse".

Today is the first day of the Yukon Fringe Festival! Join us at the Old Log Church Museum for two unique comedy story-telling shows running all weekend long.

Steven Goes to Japan (To Run a Marathon) is a high-energy story of Steven Andrews doing...exactly that. With a few misadventures along the way.

Islandography, written and performed by Justin Shaw, recounts his wild cross-Canada journey since leaving PEI, blending big laughs with heartfelt storytelling.

Both shows are 60 minutes of laughter and fun, and you can purchase tickets at the Yukon Fringe Festival website. All proceeds go directly to the performers and be sure to check out all the other shows happening around town as well.

DISCLAIMER: These shows contain adult language, sexual content, and mature themes. These shows are recommended for audiences 14+.

We here at the Old Log Church Museum recognize today as the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. As a site that focuses on the history of the Anglican Church in the north, we have been taking steps to incorporate reconciliation into our museum through our exhibits, language, and tours. Reconciliation is an ongoing process, and we are grateful to be a part of it.
