The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation

The Native Northwest team will be taking this day, September 30, as a day of reflection, and our Canadian offices and warehouse will be closed.

As we acknowledge the painful truths of our shared history, we also look to the future. The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is more than a single day of remembrance, it is a call to action. It is a call to carry forward the work of reconciliation every single day. Only through listening, learning, and respect, can we help build a community rooted in empathy, equality, and understanding. A community where Indigenous peoples’ voices, cultures, and contributions are fully recognized and honoured.

We approach this day with humility and deep respect for the resilience and strength of Indigenous communities across North America. May our reflections today guide us toward the daily actions needed to build a more compassionate, inclusive, and just society.
