The Thompson Landry Gallery would like to wish the very talented, Pascale Pratte, the happiest of birthdays!

In Cœur de cendre No. 41, Pascale Pratte draws us into an intimate confrontation—an almost haunting stillness where time feels suspended. The surface appears weathered and layered, as though the image has emerged through erosion rather than construction. Subtle drips and textures evoke traces of water, smoke, or tears, softening the boundaries between presence and disappearance.
At the center, a direct, unwavering gaze holds the viewer in place. The luminous eyes—warm amber against a muted, ashen palette—become the only point of ignition in an otherwise subdued composition. They suggest resilience, memory, and something deeply interior.
