H I A T U S ~ a way of being, not just a holiday. “Slow yourself down” a lifestyle mantra from Hanalei, Kauai. A phrase that I have carried with me since travelling there in 2019, the same year we made the village of Thornbury our home. A slow pace lifestyle in an Ontario community where the mountain also dips into the bay 🌊☀️🙏🏻
•
Over these past two summer months, I have fully and whole heartedly allowed myself to pause. I needed to remind myself that a slower pace isn’t less productive, it’s sometimes actually what you need. A quiet space to be creative, read, spend time with luvs as well as time offline to reconnect and refresh the mind.

As the summer comes to a close, and as the fall season begins I wanted to share this mantra with you 💙🙏🏻

I will be posting the Fall Workshops 🍂☀️ schedule tomorrow. I am a so excited for all the energy that the month of September brings. I look forward to creating with you here in the studio 🎨👏 Let’s carry this mantra forward into this new season together!

If you are riding around town or strolling the streets of please pop by the gallery next Saturday to DRAW for the RIDE to CONQUER CANCER 🚴‍♂️💛

All Donations will go towards my husband, Chris Carvallo’s fundraising goals for the PMCF RIDE (Princess Margaret Cancer Fund) on June 13 🚴‍♂️💛
•
He will be riding 200km alongside my brother Andrew Beveridge .beveridge.186 ~ a first time cyclist, who battled with cancer this year ❤️

“I will be riding alongside and in support of my brother-in-law Andrew Beveridge, who has recently battled with cancer. As well as honouring all the amazing people Sarah and I have been blessed to know, our dear friends, family and acquaintances who have lost their lives to this disease. Sarah lost a very close childhood friend most recently, Todd Bernier age 50. I ride for awareness, remembrance and to say, f**k you cancer!”

The Ride is Canada’s largest and most impactful cycling fundraiser and has raised over $320 million for cancer research since its inception.�•�Your support would mean so much, and every small amount helps.
