Third Space Gallery The only itinerant artist-run centre in Menahqesk/Saint John, New Brunswick To present work that questions and confronts social and political agendas.

Third Space is an itinerant artist-run centre for contemporary art in Saint John committed to representing local, regional and national professional contemporary artists. Third Space will highlight the work of emerging and established artists who cross disciplines and boundaries in their examinations of contemporary culture. The aim of the gallery is to facilitate the education, understanding and appreciation of contemporary art at a local, national and international level. It will do this by hosting exhibitions, workshops, residencies, lectures, performances and screenings, as well as by publishing and disseminating materials relevant towards this aim. Third Space will strive to present a schedule of balanced programming while allowing space for community-based events. Through a rigorous and attentive selection process gallery programming will present artmaking of an advanced and critical nature. MAIN OBJECTIVES

For the Artist(s):

To present work that is exploratory, challenging and critical in nature. To present work that may not be commercially viable. To provide a standard of excellence. To encourage exploratory and hybrid curatorial practices. To develop creative partnerships and collaborations. To be treated in a fair and professional manner. To be remunerated based on CAR/FAC payment schedules

For the Public:

To be an open, inviting and inclusive space; everyone is welcome. To ensure a variety of educational and community-sensitive programming.

☕️ In case you missed it during the festival this year, take a look at Brandon Hoax’s coffee chat, our 2026 artist in residence!

Brandon Hoax (they/them) is a Haudenosaunee, Onyota’a:ka (Oneida), Two-Spirit Q***r artist from London Ontario, and Oneida Nation of the Thames. Residing in K’jipuktuk (Halifax). Hoax’s practice explores the ever oscillating tensions and weight of yearning and desire (romantic, platonic, the self) using themes of hard and soft, sensuality and clinical, the body and the incorporeal, the threats of violence or invitations of care, desirability or disgust, while using materials and iconography from different facets of the artists personhood and interests.

David Clark (he/him) is a media artist, filmmaker, radio producer, and writer known for interactive works that combine philosophy, storytelling, and experimental media. His internet artworks and installations weave together narrative fragments, ideas, and digressions to explore how meaning emerges through narrative, poetry, image, accident, and emotion.

Brian R Donnelly (he/him) (b. 1979) began his career as a painter. Exhibiting internationally since 2007, he began experimenting with video in 2018. His work has been included in museum screenings and multiple international film festivals, taking top honours for experimental film at Toronto Film Week (2025), Screener Short Film Fest (2024), and the Façade Video Festival (2024).

Brandon Lorimer (he/him) is a writer, filmmaker, and general artistic vagabond residing in Kjipuktuk/Halifax. A board member of the Atlantic Filmmakers Cooperative and the head of Wolf Hart Productions, Brandon crafts stories of working-class existentialism and cultural dissection through the lens of heightened realities and the surreal. With foundations in theatre and hybrid performance, his work aims to engage audiences, challenging them to think critically about the silly, sad, strenuous and strange melange of moder life.

After a summer of wonderful creativity and hard work, Brooke Moss () has completed her employment as our official festival associate!

Brooke Moss (she/her) () is an emerging interdisciplinary artist with a strong focus in film, poetry and traditional art. Born and raised in the quaint town of Grand Bay-Westfield, New Brunswick, she also spends her time in Toronto, Ontario where she received a Bachelor of Arts with Honours from York University (2026). Recipient of the 2025 Priscila Uppal Poetry Prize, she weaves poetic elements into all of her creative work. Faithful to her name, Brooke prioritizes her relationship to Mother Nature and can often be found hugging trees, tending to the birds she feeds, identifying clouds, or worshipping the moon.

Please welcome our new executive director, Charlie Harding! 👋

Charles Harding (he/him) is a sound artist and cultural worker based in New Brunswick. His work grows out of a practice of deep listening and a desire to build empathy toward natural spaces and more-than-human interconnections. Trained in Electroacoustic Studies at Concordia University, Harding often works with field recordings and environmental sound as a way of mapping memory and place. His projects frequently take him into rural and remote settings, where listening becomes a way of building connection to landscapes and communities he might not otherwise encounter.

☕️ In case you missed it during the festival this year, take a look at Lynda Hall’s coffee chat, one of our 2026 Third Watch artists!

Lynda Hall (she/her) is an artist and filmmaker working out of Ottawa. Her short personal films explore family, identity and belonging through the lens of adoption. Through her work, she has become an advocate for the hundreds of thousands of unwed mothers and their babies that were separated by a forced adoption mandate in post-war Canada.
