2026 Canal Days Shirts are Here!

Sponsored by Bell Marine and designed by local artist Stephen Brule, this year's design features a hand-drawn traditional illustration of a fish with wheat inside of it being carried out of the water by a large osprey.

The fish represents a boat, and wheat is the cargo and was chosen because of our flour mills and grain elevators, and the bird symbolizes the lock system that helps the boats climb the escarpment. The design is also a great way to highlight the natural aspects of the canal and the Port Colborne area. See if you can also find the three clever easter-eggs in the design that celebrate the canal: the boat propeller, lock 8, and the year.

Shirts are available in two colours: Stone blue and paragon ranging in sizes from SM - 3XXL - $30. Limited Youth sizing in light blue from XS-XL - $25.

Due to the weather forecast today we will be having Music ‘Over’ the Lawn!

Tony Habjan and the Nu Tones will be playing inside the Roselawn Centre’s Presidents Room today from 1:00-3:00pm.

Seats will be available but feel free to still bring your own. Entry through the historic and ramp doors.

The L.R. Wilson Heritage Research Archives Cemetery Tours are a great way to explore the people, culture, and history of our local community.

Due to some rainy weather in May, we have rescheduled our tour of Oakwood Cemetery to this Saturday, June 6th at 9:30am.

This event kicks off the start of the season for Arabella's Tea Room, which runs June 1st to September 30th, open daily 2:00-4:00pm.

So if you didn’t make it in for pie today, visit tomorrow for a fresh baked batch of Arabella’s famous biscuits!

Enjoy the beautifully blooming grounds of the Museum and be serenaded by piano music while you experience traditional skills in the heritage village from spinning, blacksmithing, and printing, to demonstrations from the Antique Power Association.

Don’t forget to try your skills with heritage games, like croquet, or try on some of the fashion of the days gone past. Make sure to buy your plants for your garden at the Perennial Plant Sale. If you are looking for a fancy new cup to enjoy your daily tea, there will be a large array available for sale.

And don’t forget the pie! Make sure to stop in at Arabella’s Tea Room to enjoy a delicious slice of homemade pie and a beverage. It’s the sweetest way to spend a springtime Sunday afternoon.

In this behind-the-scenes reel, Tami Nail, the Assistant Museum Curator at the Port Colborne Historical & Marine Museum, shares the inspiration behind the Museum’s newest exhibit, the work that happens long before opening day, and the collaboration it takes to bring local history to life.

From researching artifacts and planning the exhibit layout to the dedication of Museum staff and volunteers, each exhibit’s success is a result of months of teamwork, creativity, and community support.

The City of Port Colborne is proud to celebrate the passionate individuals who help preserve and share our community’s stories for future generations.
