We are looking forward to hearing all about what museum members all across Central Alberta have been up to this summer and what new and wonderful things they are planning in their communities.
We have a great presenter lined up who we think the board members will enjoy and a delicious lunch being prepared by our local Pizza Stop.π , with a tour of our very own Museum to follow!

Enjoy coffee, tea, and delicious treats in the Tea Room, hosted this week by Jason Heistad and Family. Cost: $5 per person.
β’ Music in the Park β Rimbey Museum Β· 5:00 PM β 9:00 PM
An evening of live music featuring two bands, artisan vendors, food, drinks, and a feature open house of the museum buildings. Coordinated with the local Library and Hawktail Brewery!
β’ Friday Family Fun Night: Stained Glass Chalk Mural β Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery Β· 5:00 PM β 8:00 PM
Help brighten up the MAG sidewalks! Drop in to collaborate on a vibrant stained glass-style chalk mural. Free to attend, all ages welcome, and all materials supplied.

Final day of the regular summer season to visit the historic railway stations and grounds at Meeting Creek and Big Valley!

Network with regional museum peers at the Penhold Senior Drop-In Centre (3001 Minto St). Includes a museum visit, ice cream shack, and mini-golf. Lunch is $20 per person (please watch your email to RSVP).

β’ Making Art History: Collage as an Art Medium (Part 1) β Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery Β· 6:00 PM β 8:00 PM
Kick off Alberta Culture Days with part one of a two-part micro art and history class! Explore the origins of collage from 10th-century Japan to the Dada movement and digital era, complete with a hands-on studio component. FREE admission for September (pre-registration required, covers Sept 2 & 9).
