It’s never too late to continue your education 💚

The Gwen Lamont Education Fund supports mature students from Grey or Bruce County who are studying at an eligible college or university. Preference will be given to women over the age of 25 who are continuing their education later in life.

This award was created by Gwen Lamont, a local author and social worker who dedicated her career to helping abused women, vulnerable children, victims of violence, teenagers, and trauma survivors. Due to various misadventures, Gwen Lamont was not able to complete grade nine, yet today she holds a BA in sociology, a BSW, an MSW, and an MFA in Creative Non-fiction. Ginger Press recently published Gwen's memoir: The View From Coffin Ridge: A Childhood Exhumed.

The Gwen Lamont Education Fund was created to support students working toward a brighter future through education.
