🍂 As we move into the fall and winter seasons, our weekly hours are changing.

Beginning next week, we will be open from Thursday through Sunday from 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, and Closed from Monday - Wednesday.

We happily welcome self-guided visits to enjoy everything the cultural center has to offer at your own pace.

Facility Rentals and large group bookings are available with advanced booking.

Thank you to our community, visitors and supporters for another wonderful summer season. We look forward to welcoming you throughout the fall and winter. 🧡

September is the perfect time to visit our walking trail. In the early morning, you can feel that cool fall breeze beginning to settle in, while the afternoons still hold onto the warmth of summer. 🍂☀️

Come take a walk, slow down, and enjoy the beauty of Nk’Mip as the seasons begin to change. 🌾

Thank you for another beautiful summer in the Nk’Mip Desert. ♥️

It has been such a joy welcoming folks from near and far, sharing stories, learning together, and spending another season on the land with our community and visitors.

Our daily summer programming has now wrapped up, but the Centre remains open daily from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM for self-guided visits.

Come take your time with our films and gallery, and walk the trail at your own pace - there’s always something to notice, learn from, and connect with. 🌿

⚠️ NOTICE: Guided Walks Cancelled for the Remainder of the Season

Due to continued poor air quality and ongoing wildfire activity in the region, NK Mip Desert Cultural Centre has made the decision to cancel all guided walks for the remainder of the 2026 season.

This decision was not made lightly, but the health and safety of our visitors and staff must come first.

Our trail remains open for self-guided visits, conditions permitting. We appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate these challenging conditions.

Each sharing their own story, a moment frozen in time here on the land, showing the relationships between the people, the plants and animals in Nk’Mip. Go behind the scenes with our field team. Explore research equipment, try a PIT tag reader, and test your tracking skills with our radio telemetry challenge - can you find all three hidden snakes?
