We are thrilled to formally unveil 5 newly acquired portraits from Gould’s remarkable body of work to our permanent collection. Best known for his expressive, improvisational mark-making and deeply personal drawings, Gould captured human connection like few others could.

Special Event Highlight: Alongside the portrait unveiling, we will host a screening of his film, Waubaushene Faces! Followed by a discussion with Ingi Gould.

Following his work drawing legendary mime artist Marcel Marceau in New York, Gould settled into a cottage in Waubaushene around 1970. It was right here in our community that he observed local life, filled his journals, and created his most ambitious masterpieces.

Come experience the art, watch the film, and celebrate a pivotal chapter of local creative history!

This coming Wednesday is National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. The Huronia Museum will attend events in the morning to observe this important day.

We will open at 1.30 pm, and admission will be free for the remainder of the day.

A small ring was found near one of the disc golf tees here in Little Lake Park, not far from the museum.

If someone is missing that ring, which looks very well-worn and older, give us a call at the museum with a description. It really is very small and looks like it was well-loved by a child.

Thank you to the players and their out-of-town players from Sixty and Hyzer Disc Golf tournament today for bringing it in!

Camp is over for another year, but if your camper is missing items you are sure they had earlier in the summer, feel free to stop by and check our lost and found.
We will be holding on to everything until the end of September, after that we will donate any unclaimed items.

We are starting a workshop series at Huronia Museum, which we hope will become our local atlatl league.

A great way to be active outdoors, good for all ages and physical abilities, and a great way to make friends crafting together.

Also, it's really cool to say you made your own ancient weapon.
