🧡 The National Day for Truth and Reconciliation is just one week away.

On September 30, Sainte-Marie will honour Residential School Survivors, remember the children who never returned home, and reflect on the lasting impacts of the residential school system on Indigenous Peoples, families and communities.

Join us for:
• 6 a.m. Sunrise Ceremony with Troy Monague of Beausoleil First Nation
• 8 a.m. Survivor Flag Raising
• Guest speaker Marilyn Hopkins from Beausoleil First Nation at 9 a.m. and noon
• Indigenous-focused guided tours at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
• Medicine Teachings around the Sacred Fire at 12:30 p.m. with Colton Laramey from Wasauksing First Nation and Shining Wolf (Zhoonya Myingan) of First Nations of the Great Lakes Area
• Film screenings throughout the day, featuring Indigenous stories and voices

Live music all weekend at the Hometown Harvest Festival! 🎶🍂

Each day of this Thanksgiving weekend celebration at Sainte-Marie features live music in a historic setting!

Award-winning singer-songwriter Madison Mueller brings heartfelt originals, a unique sound, and an engaging stage presence that has earned fans around the world.

🎸 Sunday: Nate & Geneviève Cyr - Music (GV)
Blending soulful vocals, folk-rock influences, rich harmonies, and storytelling, this talented duo delivers a performance that's sure to have you singing along.

A family favourite, Russ gets kids involved with hands-on instruments while keeping grown-ups entertained with familiar cover tunes.

🐐 Meet the animals and have a hoof-tastic time! 🐴🐷🐮

This Hometown Harvest Festival – happening Thanksgiving weekend – Sainte-Marie’s heritage breed cows, pigs and chickens will be joined by some special furry friends:
• Dusty or Bella, Miniature Horses
• Cookie, Autumn, Luna, Bruno and Remi, Nigerian Dwarf Goats
• Bennett, Miniature Donkey (visiting October 11 and 12)

As September begins, we'd like to give a well-deserved shoutout to our amazing summer student team! 👏

From greeting visitors and leading tours to maintaining the grounds and bringing the story of Sainte-Marie to life each day, they've been at the heart of the visitor experience all season long. We'd like to thank them for their hard work and dedication.

We'd also like to wish students everywhere a fantastic return to school!

📅 Starting September 7, visitors can enjoy Sainte-Marie's self-guided season, with reduced admission fees and programming. We're open daily until Monday, October 12, and guided tours remain available on Saturdays and Sundays. Don't miss our final event of the season, the Hometown Harvest Festival, taking place Thanksgiving weekend!

Due to current and forecasted weather conditions, tonight’s Boots and Boards line dancing event will be moving indoors to the Brébeuf Event Centre here at Sainte-Marie among the Hurons.

We have a great evening planned! In addition to a fun night of boot scootin’, co****le, and a guided tour, guests will also be invited to explore the museum and enjoy Sainte-Marie’s introductory film as an added experience.
