The market takes place alongside our ticketed Bingo Night event celebrating the opening of 𝘕𝘪𝘤𝘰 𝘞𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘮𝘴: 𝘉𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘰 and Treaty Recognition Week, but the Beadwork Market is free to attend and open to everyone.

Join Thursday, November 5 for Bingo Night at the Museum as we celebrate the opening of our upcoming exhibition 𝘉𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘰 with artist Nico Williams and host Sara Mai Chitty.

Get ready for 𝘉𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘰, the first major museum exhibition by Sobey Award-winning artist Nico Williams, coming soon to our Ivey Galleries.

Featuring new and recent large-scale beadwork and sculpture, including a newly commissioned artwork created specifically for Museum London, 𝘉𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘰 showcases Williams' remarkable ability to transform everyday objects and rich pop culture references into works that are playful, thought-provoking, and richly detailed.

Exploring themes of chance, value, exchange, and community, the exhibition connects contemporary life with the enduring histories and practices of beadwork across Turtle Island.

𝘕𝘪𝘤𝘰 𝘞𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘢𝘮𝘴: 𝘉𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘰 opens October 31 and runs through April 4, 2027.

Join us next month for an inspiring evening with Juno Award-winning rapper Shad and acclaimed journalist and Q guest host Garvia Bailey as we launch Museum London's inaugural year-long Musician-in-Residence program.

Through themes of history, identity, and memory, Shad will reflect on growing up as a Rwandan Canadian in Southwestern Ontario and his journey to becoming one of Canada's most celebrated hip-hop artists.

Together, Shad and Garvia will explore the powerful role music plays in our lives, from the mixtapes and music videos of our youth to today's playlists and streaming platforms, and how the songs we connect with help shape our understanding of ourselves and the world around us.

Celebrating 1️⃣ full year of 𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘈𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘦, 𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘈𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘠𝘰𝘶!

Since opening last September, our newest permanent collection exhibition has invited thousands of visitors to look closer at the people, places, memories and sensations that shape the world around us.

Comprising artworks and artifacts from our collection, 𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘈𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘔𝘦, 𝘈𝘭𝘭 𝘈𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘠𝘰𝘶 explores the extraordinary in the ordinary through three thematic chapters. Find iconic works by Paul Peel, Alex Colville and Mary Pratt among leading contemporary like Kent Monkman and Sandra Brewster, the exhibition offers many ways to connect with Canadian art and stories of our region.

What can food teach us about who we are? 🌽✨

Join us for our next History Now! conversation, 𝘍𝘰𝘰𝘥, 𝘊𝘰𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘊𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘙𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘪𝘻𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, featuring Registered Dietitian Marley Fisher (Munsee-Delaware First Nation) and Museum London's Zahra McDoom.

Together, they'll explore how food connects to history, identity, and community, examining the impacts of colonial food systems on Indigenous Peoples and the ongoing work of reclaiming Indigenous food sovereignty through traditional knowledge and practices.

From sea biscuits and empire-building to the significance of the Five White Gifts, this conversation offers a look at the many stories food can tell.

As October begins, another season of Ron Benner’s 𝘈𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘊𝘳𝘰𝘸 𝘍𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘴 comes to a close. 🌻🌾

For more than 20 years, this living installation has transformed our backyard into a space where art, ecology, and community intersect. Through a vibrant mix of plants, pollinators, and wildlife, the garden invites us to reflect on the connections between culture and place along the 81.14th meridian.
