This elegant lady deserves an elegant frame Lavo Electric Gray from Roma Moulding and jet black suede mat with flint accent, for maximum clarity museum glass. An artist herself, her son surprised her with this pencil portrait of her he drew and gave as a special gift to his mom.

Last week I posted 2 frame selections for this gorgeous Beaded Iris, this was my final choice. There are 360 rows of beads, 80 beads per row, do the math that's 28,800 beads!! This was for a special birthday gift, made by the very talented Shirley Rolston of High River. The technique is called pe**te beading. I framed it in Hudson Ivory Scoop by -Juhl with Vivid purple suede, white shimmer and admiralty mats, with a spacer to add depth, and museum glass.

Which frame would you choose?
I'm testing my new framing program, and can now show you the frame you select during the design process. I can also display it in your home - virtually!
This is going to be fun!
Stop by the studio and let's give it a go with your next framing project and Virtual Framer.
PS: Next week, I'm going to post which frame I chose for this special project

Can't decide on a frame? Sometimes we don't have to. On this colorful "Jellyfish" by a young local artist, we used Purple Haze and Tornado Red Nielsen metal frame with corresponding Brite core mats in red and purple, just fine accent colors that show at the bevel. To top it off, we used a Keystone V-groove on the corners to accent the 'box' design in the art. Now that's what you call custom framing! Art Effects...where framing is an art!
