Journal Days Art and Soul Escape from the worries of your life. Rediscover your creative spirit. Write, paint, draw, express. This precious creative time is for YOU! per extra child.

Journal Days (I'm changing the name soon as in the past 1/2 year it is no longer held on Sundays!) is about creating time for you to lose yourself in creative exploration. A Journal is the tool we will use to hold our expressive discoveries. It's an easy, safe place to give ourselves permission to explore and play. Right now Annie Froese, artist/owner of Art and Soul Gallery in High River, is offe

ring two weekly sessions. Journal Wednesdays:
This time is set aside for adults. Time: 6-9 pm
Cost: $20, includes a creative activity (instruction) and some supplies
Where: Annie's studio in the back of 124 - 6 Ave. SW (next door to the Gallery)
Journal Thursdays - Parent/Child:
This time is set aside for parents and their children to engage in creative time together. Time: 4-5:30 pm
Cost: $30.00 for a parent and child, $15. This will include a creative prompt (instruction) and some art supplies
Where: Annie's studio in the back of 124 - 6 Ave. SW (next door to the Gallery). If you are interested in being on a weekly reminder mailing list, just ask to join the journal days mailing list by sending a request to:

This mailing list will be used to send out weekly reminders of the session hosted AND if the date needs to be changed because of another commitment or absence. I will also let people on this list know of upcoming classes, etc. I will also confirm class information on this page. We would love for you to join us in the future!

I have begun offering Journal Days to our Full group again. Covid changed so much and now I feel ready to get back to the way things were before. A few changes though.
Journal Days is being hosted at the Gallery
Day: Tuesdays from 5 to 7 pm
Cost: $25 (cash or e-transfer)
I will post confirmation of a class being held about 3 days before. I would like people to e-mail me at [email protected] to register for the class. (I just want to make sure I have enough places set up.)

We will have our first Tuesday class this Tuesday, October 29.

Welcome to the October 27 Pie Sunday. Herb is busy in the kitchen preparing delicious pastries for you. This weekend he is creating 2 spooktacular pumpkin cheesecakes for those that love pumpkin or who like trying new things.

You can find us at Art and Soul Gallery (120 - 6 Ave. SW, High River.)

We also have our dedicated Pie Sunday Musicians coming out to share their time and tunes with you. A big thank you goes out to Chuck, Karl, Fay and Wayne for keeping you entertained.

While you are out you can also treat yourself to a delicious coffee from Colossi's Coffee House , https://www.colossiscoffeehouse.com
You can also take in a wonderful brunch at The Dining Car at High River Station, and The Kaiser's Old Style Bakery is also open. I love their European desserts. 🙂

During Pie Sunday we serve generous, mouth-watering slices of pie made from scratch. We are open from 11am to 3-ish (or until we sell out.).
People may get pies to go (you may bring a container to put them into if you want a green option) or you may sit indoors or out (weather permitting). 🙂.
Important: Regarding pre-orders (for ordering whole pies) please TEXT Annie before Friday 10 am.
If you are coming a distance for Sunday ordering, you need to get a hold of Annie by TEXTING ONLY to (403) 422-3344 or Herb, 403-652-0379, BEFORE 10 AM Sunday as we will not have access to our phone during serving hours. If you cannot text, you may call.

Welcome to our August 18 Pie Sunday! Herb is busy in the kitchen creating delicious fresh pies just for you. Why not take a drive around the town, or country, and enjoy the beauty of golden summer in the foothills.

Happy Canada Day Long Weekend everyone! We just wanted to remind you that there will not be Pie this Sunday as the pieman is spending time with his mentor.

Our next Pie Sunday is planned for July 7.

There are other ways to celebrate though. I, personally, am looking forward to taking in local celebrations on Monday at George Lane Park. I hope to see some of you out there. Attached is the list of events with times and locations.

Hello lovers of visual and performing arts! I am happy to announce that we are going to host another partnering of Singer/Songwriters and artists for the 2024 Songs to Art Event.
This year we will have 10 singer/songwriters who have spent 3 months creating a song, and now we have 10 artists partnered up with the musicians to interpret the song. We will host a "meet and greet" with patrons and singer/songwriter/artist pairings for an hour before the concert and then we will have the singer/songwriters perform their songs.
