๐ŸŽƒHelp Us Create More Than Halloween Memories!

Some of the most meaningful moments begin with a little curiosity, a lot of imagination, and a community that believes in making them possible.

Science East's Low-Scare Haunted Tour, part of Freddy Fright Fest 2026, is about so much more than Halloween. It's about bringing families together, creating opportunities for children to explore and discover, and making science exciting, welcoming, and memorable.

Last year, more than 2,000 families joined us for this beloved Fredericton tradition!

But the impact doesn't end when the Halloween decorations come down.

As an important fundraiser for Science East, the Low-Scare Haunted Tour helps us continue bringing hands-on science education to children, families, and communities across New Brunswick.

And we can't do it without the support of our community.

We're inviting local businesses and organizations to become sponsors and help us create something truly meaningful.

Your partnership is more than support for a single event. It's an investment in curiosity, connection, and opportunities for the next generation to discover what's possible.

๐Ÿ’œ Be part of something meaningful.

Interested in becoming a sponsor or learning more about how your organization can get involved?

Reach out to Michelle at [email protected] to request our sponsorship package.

Together, we can make Halloween memories that have an impact long after the event is over!

We were honoured to have a special message from Brian Gallant, CEO of Space Canada, as part of todayโ€™s launch of Science Eastโ€™s new travelling planetarium.

With his New Brunswick roots and his work now helping advance Canadaโ€™s space sector, Brianโ€™s message was a fitting reminder of the opportunities aheadโ€”and of the importance of giving young people the chance to see themselves as part of the future of STEM and space.

A huge thank you to Brian and the Space Canada team for taking the time to help us celebrate this exciting new chapter for Science East.

Made possible with support from the Crabtree Foundation and NSERCโ€™s PromoScience Program, the planetarium is about more than new technology โ€” itโ€™s about making extraordinary STEM experiences accessible to young people wherever they live in New Brunswick.

The travelling planetarium is now available to book!

Students arenโ€™t the only ones getting the classic โ€œfirst dayโ€ photos today!

To celebrate the start of a brand-new school year, we thought weโ€™d introduce (or re-introduce!) the people behind Science East. From favourite science topics to what weโ€™re most excited about this year, meet the team that makes the experiments, workshops, field trips, and wonderfully messy science happen.

Weโ€™re pretty excited for another year of sparking curiosity, asking big questions, trying new things, and bringing hands-on science to students and communities across New Brunswick.

Wishing all the students, teachers, school staff, and families heading back today an amazing first day and a fantastic school year ahead!

Now itโ€™s our turn for first-day photosโ€ฆ Swipe through to meet the Science East team. ๐Ÿ”ฌ

And a big shout out to our friends at the Discovery Centre for inspiring this post! Go check their out as well!
