Pictured here is one of our longtime volunteers, Terry, who led the first train of the season last weekend at the helm of locomotive 7944.

Here’s an incredible piece of history: May Long weekend marked the first time in 25 years that 7944 pulled a passenger train. Terry is holding the original locomotive log sheet from the last time she hauled a passenger coach — August 12, 2001.

And the engineer that day? Terry himself.
