As the temperatures rise, we are thrilled to say that the Rotary Splash Park is now officially open. Located in Comox Marina Park, this spot is the perfect place for families looking to have a splashing good time!

Also, misting stations and water fountains located on greenways and in parks are all operating for the season.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night for the Town's 80th anniversary incorporation open house and celebration at the Comox Museum and Pearl Ellis Gallery. It was wonderful to see such a great turnout and to hear so many stories shared throughout the evening. A big thank you to the hosts, honoured speakers, and all who contributed their time and efforts to make this milestone celebration so memorable.

If you weren’t able to attend, there’s still time to take part. The 1946 Time Capsule exhibit will remain on display long-term, so be sure to stop by and share your Comox story. The Comox Museum is open Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

We are excited to announce the arrival of new panels for our upcoming exhibit, commemorating the 80th anniversary of Comox.

Please note that the museum will be closed on Tuesday, January 13th, to facilitate the installation of the new exhibit.

Join us for a special reception celebrating the town’s anniversary on Wednesday, January 14th, from 6 PM to 8 PM. We look forward to welcoming you to this momentous occasion.

At the reception, guests will have the opportunity to win exclusive prizes. Among these, two $100 gift cards, generously provided by the Downtown Comox Reps, will serve as door prizes. These gift cards can be redeemed at any of the exceptional businesses located in our vibrant downtown district.

A full week of community activities will celebrate Comox’s history, local stories, and the community spirit that makes our Town so special.

𝟴𝟬 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗔𝗴𝗼: 𝗔 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘅 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘀𝘂𝗹𝗲” 𝗘𝘅𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝘁
“80 Years Ago: A Comox Time Capsule”, hosted by Comox Archives and Museum Society, offers a snapshot of life in 1945-1946, featuring photos, newspaper excerpts, and local stories. The exhibit highlights a pivotal period in Comox’s history — where the community rallied together after the war, pushed for incorporation, and even endured the island-shaking 1946 earthquake. It celebrates the people whose determination and community spirit helped shape today’s Comox.
