🚨 WANTED: FOR FLOWER FELONY 🚨

Last night, a gang of hungry elk staged a brazen garden heist outside the Kootenay Gallery of Art. 🌸🦌

The evidence? An almost completely flowerless garden.

The victims? Beautiful blooms lovingly planted by Castlegar Communities In Bloom. 💔

The only survivors? The marigolds. Apparently, even the elk have standards. 😂🌼

If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of these floral fugitives, please contact… well, actually, don’t. We’re just hoping they stay away tonight.

Consider this your warning, Elk: we know what you did. 👀🦌

☁️ Behind the scenes… ☁️

Every exhibition begins with a little bit of work, a lot of imagination, and sometimes a ladder!

Here’s artist Kimberley Hyatt putting the finishing touches on her clouds as she prepares the gallery for her upcoming exhibition. Also seen hard at work gallery curator Fletcher Quince.

We’re excited to open the doors this Thursday, August 13, from 5–7 PM for the exhibition opening.
