Wrapping up ! We’re highlighting "Rooted: Chinese Canadian Stories in Burnaby"—a beautifully illustrated book that brings together stories, photographs and voices from Burnaby’s community.

Through family memories, oral histories and archival images, "Rooted" highlights the people who helped shape the city through farming, small businesses, community spaces and everyday resilience—while also acknowledging the impacts of anti‑Asian racism and the strength of community activism.

Available in two bilingual editions—English with Simplified Chinese and English with Traditional Chinese—this book honours a century of history, courage and belonging. You can purchase the books at the Carousel gift shop for $39.95, plus tax.
