Join us for the grand opening of **Rage Against the Machine**, the first exhibition of our new season at **Van Landeghem Gallery**!
đïž **Opening Night:** Friday, October 16th starting from 6:30 PM (18:30)
We live in an era that increasingly resembles a circus. Political norms are treated as mere stage props, public trust is an afterthought, and power is staged rather than exercised. Energy prices skyrocket, disinformation spreads faster than any correction can keep up, and a handful of tech moguls dictate what counts as truth for millions.
Politics has completely adopted the vocabulary of performance, making it difficult to separate genuine outrage from mere spectacle. _Rage Against the Machine_ turns this exact boundary into its central subject.
Exhibition runs until november 8th, every saturday & sunday from 3 to 6 PM
**Featuring highly acclaimed artists:**
**Homa Arkani** (°1983, Tehran) â Living and working in Brussels. She presents _Hair-itage_, a painterly investigation into hair as a carrier of power, control, resistance, and mourning. Inspired by Magritte and Ensor, her work uses masks to expose truth rather than hide it.
**Juliette Vanwaterloo** (°1998) â Textile artist from France, living and working in Brussels. Through embroidery, bobbin lace, and tufted textile, she transforms bystander footage of police violence into a counter-history. Her work blends soft craftsmanship with sharp critique against corporate and state power.
**Ai Weiwei** (°1957, Beijing) â The world-renowned conceptual artist brings his powerful, critical perspective on society and authority to this season opener.
