This Friday, the brand-new city of Mangatopia opens its gates! Step into the world of manga like never before.

Here’s a first look at the digital designs created by our scenographer, Pauline Hutin, alongside the exhibition taking shape in real life.

🇧🇪 Belgian Comics Now: Belgian comics take centre stage at Lakes International Comic Art Festival!

From 2 to 4 October, the Lakes International Comic Art Festival (LICAF) in Kendal, UK, puts Belgian comics in the spotlight! 🇧🇪✨

The programme includes the exhibition Landscapes of Contemporary Belgian Comics, developed by the Comic Art Museum in Brussels and produced by Wallonie-Bruxelles International, alongside a host of events and meetings celebrating the richness and diversity of contemporary Belgian comics.

🎨 This wonderful group of authors will represent Belgian comics across the Channel: Joanna Lorho, Nina Six, Léonie Bischoff, Nicolas Pitz and Mobidic. On the publishing side, Thierry Van Hasselt (FREMOK), Sacha Goerg (L’employé du moi), Valérie Beniest (Dargaud), Nathalie Van Campenhoudt (Casterman BD) and Romane Armand (En 3000) will also be there.

Sketching session with: ✨Julia Reynaud✨

This weekend, you’re welcome to enjoy a leisurely visit to the museum. But if you pop in next Sunday, you’ll also have the chance to take part in a sketching session! On 4 October, from 2 pm to 3.30 pm, comic book artist Julia Reynaud will be leading some great exercises to help you get started with drawing.

Julia studied comic art at the École Estienne and Saint-Luc Brussels, and now enjoys telling intimate and touching stories. Her wonderful work has already earned her a Raymond Leblanc Award. Her comic book 'Le Bel Alex' (Casterman BD) is a must-read!
