July 21
Belgium’s National Day
🤩

The Belgian national anthem is a symbol of unity and identity for Belgium. Created in 1830 by François Van Campenhout and Charles Rogier, both Freemasons, in a context of struggle for independence, it expresses the Belgian people’s aspirations for freedom and brotherhood. Although it has been modified to reflect political and social changes, it remains a tribute to the courage of the Belgian people.

The Masonic score L’Union fait la Force, composed by François Van Campenhout in the early 20th century and dedicated to the lodge Les Vrais Amis de l’Union, can be seen at the Belgian Museum of Freemasonry until the end of the summer holidays!
