Today on the Fantastic Plastic Radio Show I take you back to a time when the harvested sugar cane made its way from the farms to the mill down the channels , creeks and the mighty Clarence on a fleet of punts towed by small tug boats. Today just one of those tugs, the MV Beardmore survives. Carol Cameron from the Maclean Historical Society will join me to tell the story of the Beardmore and efforts to protect her.
Plus I’ve got some classic Aussie music from the 80’s… it’ll be mental as anything !
