Great opportunity

Calling all local artists! As part of our Hawkesbury Now 2026 program, we are excited to be running a Professional Development Workshop for artists with the National Association for the Visual Arts (NAVA).

In this introductory workshop, you will learn about the Code, what it covers, how to access it, navigate it and when to use it. You will come away with the confidence to effectively apply the Code to real‑world scenarios that you will encounter in your work and practice. Topics covered include:

• Understanding the NAVA Code of Practice
• Pricing Your Artwork
• Writing Artist Statements
• Preparing an Artist CV

The workshop will be presented by Donnalyn Xu and Shoufay Derz from NAVA, with Hawkesbury Regional Gallery staff available to answer any questions regarding your Hawkesbury Now EOI.

Do you need support completing your online expression of interest (EOI) for Hawkesbury Now 2026? We are here to help!

On Thursday 9 & Sunday 12 July, our curatorial team will be offering FREE 1-on-1 support sessions for artists.

During these sessions our team can:
• Help you upload information and submit your online form
• Offer advice on whether your artwork is suitable (e.g. hanging systems, size requirements)
• Answer general questions about the exhibition and application process
