Paper Pear is a studio and gallery run by artist Stephanie Day. Here she designs and makes her handmade greeting cards, paints and runs art workshops for children. The gallery houses an eclectic mix of works by a selection of handpicked artists and makers from the Riverina and beyond.

Yesterday my world was shattered when I arrived to find my beautiful Mum had passed away suddenly at home. Life has been harder for her of late since her Alzheimers diagnosis in August last year and in June we chose to cease treatment for Multiple Myeloma which she had valiantly lived with for 24 years - to say she is amazing is an understatement- the epitome of grace and acceptance of the things she just could not change. She was so brave and her sense of humour, despite her hurdles, remained intact. She was a sister, wife, mother, aunt, friend, grandmother and great grandmother, a lover of life and the beauty of nature. Her family was her everything. The gallery will be closed today in her honour. We love you Mum. 🩷

Introducing Melbourne artist Malcolm Gartside to the gallery. In his mid thirties, Malcolm left the corporate world behind to go to Art School and knew immediately he had found his ‘home.’ After finishing his degree he spent some time just drawing and finding his feet, he later completed a Masters in Fine Art at Monash University. He experimented with different mediums and genres for years before finding his niche in the nostalgic rural landscapes he had experienced in his teen years and beyond.
