ARTEXPRESS is taking over Wagga Wagga! 🎨✨

Opening soon, this year’s exhibition showcases outstanding works created for the 2025 HSC Visual Arts exam — packed with big ideas, bold creativity, and seriously impressive young talent.

This has been a huge install for the team — and honestly, we may have gotten a little carried away selecting works… there were just too many good ones to choose from.

Even better, a number of featured artists are from the Albury region, and we love seeing regional talent shine on this scale.

Go regional! 👏

Join us for the official opening event:
🗓 Saturday 23 May
🕓 4pm–6pm

✨🐚 Coming Soon to Wagga Wagga Art Gallery ⭐🐙

HOSSEI — ‘ESSSENSSSE’
23 May – 26 July 2026

‘ESSSENSSSE’ is a playful and immersive installation by contemporary artist HOSSEI. Whilst it explores healing, transformation and new beginnings, it also invites audiences to look beneath the surface 🐠 and reflect on the human spirit.

What energies do we choose to carry – and what do we let go of?

Formed as a vibrant aquatic ecosystem 🐋, the exhibition follows HOSSEI’S exploration of creating costumes that ‘heal’, alongside a deep fascination with sand dollar creatures 🐚, which have become an emblem of the show.

Opening Event 🌟
Saturday 23 May, 4pm—6pm

✨🐚 Stay tuned — A special July performance will be announced soon! ⭐

A exhibition, touring in partnership with , supported by and proudly funded by . Verge Gallery is supported by .usyd.

A stunning new glass piece by Cheryl Edwards, inspired by a vintage kimono she discovered earlier this year.

“Earlier this year I bought a vintage kimono and this is the murrine inspired by that find. I am looking forward to making more.” - Cheryl Edwards
