OPPORTUNITIES FOR ARTISTS!

Have you visited the Museum of Health in Toowoomba? Housed in a beautiful heritage-listed former Medical Superintendent’s residence in Hogg Street, the Museum showcases fascinating stories and collections celebrating the history of health and life across the Darling Downs.

With stunning grounds, a curated café and gallery space, the Museum is also keen to support our local arts community!

Opportunities are available for artists to exhibit their work, run workshops, sell their creations through the reception store or hire the meeting and gallery spaces.

A wonderful way to share your creativity, connect with the community and support the Toowoomba Hospital Foundation.

Why not pop in for a coffee and explore the possibilities?

🏆 Curator's Encouragement Award

ARTSHOP is thrilled to be supporting the 2026 Curator's Encouragement Award — a long-standing feature of the RME Downlands Art Exhibition, and an award we've now sponsored for two years running.

We're also delighted to welcome TAS - Toowoomba Art Society on board as this year's professional development provider, delivering a funded opportunity to the artist selected by Curator Evan Hollis.

This partnership is especially meaningful, benefiting two members of our arts community at once: the awarded artist, and the TAS member they choose to deliver their professional development and mentorship.

We know what it's like to put a body of work out into the world, and how much it means to have your potential recognised, and to be encouraged and supported in taking that next step. That's exactly what this award is about.

We look forward to celebrating this year's recipient when they are announced at the Gala Opening on Friday, 18 September, and to following their progress throughout their professional development.

Thank you, Toowoomba Art Society, for being a wonderful partner in this award too 🙏
