We were happy to have Febe Zylstra ART and Pamela Gough Art in gallery last week for the delivery and installation of pieces for the Faces & Places exhibition!

The gallery is hung and we look forward to Opening Night this Friday. We would love you to join us to view this exhibition presenting the work of two artists whose practices are separate in direction and style, yet connected through shared themes.

New works have arrived in gallery by Amica Aindow.

Nero D'Avola, Lightness of Being 2 and Unfurling 2 are all beautiful examples of the way Amica works with ink, enamel and charcoal on canvas to create pieces that are inspired by the natural world.

Nostalgia by Wendy Rennie Studio captures the form of the NZ Toi Toi plant as it moves with the wind on the side of the road experienced on many trips...capturing the familiarity of the New Zealand landscape and highlighting it in the here and now.

Moredun Creek by Lynn E Munday is a new work in gallery now.

This creek originates in the Ben Lomond area which is in the higher reaches of the New England Tableland near Glen Innes. The reflections in the water and the colours of the dry grass caught Lynn's attention.

This lovely piece is 58cm x 48cm and is in a timber box frame.

Float like a Feather 1 & 2, by Wendy Rennie.

Soft and light, like a feather moving and floating through the air, barely leaving an impression…

~New Artist Announcement~

We are thrilled to welcome a new artist to the Feather & Lawry Gallery family!

Wendy Rennie can vividly recall the moments when she first picked up a pencil and began to bring characters and ideas to life on paper, infusing them with colours that danced in her imagination. From that very early age, she found solace and happiness in the act of creation; it was her happy place, a realm where she felt entirely at ease and at one with her thoughts and visions.

A lovely evening was had at the opening last Friday night.

We were proud to donate a prize of $1000 Art Dollars for the Zonta Club of Toowoomba Garden City Grand Homes Tour last weekend which was a wonderful success. Funds raised support Zonta projects and will make a huge difference for these organisations.

Congratulations to the lovely winner of this prize - we can't wait to see you in the Gallery soon to select your new artwork!

One of the latest beautiful pieces from Cecily Slade is in the gallery and online now.

Sunlit Silhouettes depicts a beautiful Toowoomba soft pink bottle brush backlit from the morning sunshine, rich in textural foliage and leaves blazing with native colours.

The variety of interesting shapes and forms of these flowers with their wispy petals are so characteristic of an Australian garden.
