Welcoming a new artist to our gallery - Ladislav Csobonyei. A Slovakian artist educated at the University of Arts in Nitra, Ladislav’s practice explores expressive faces and figurative forms through a dynamic and contemporary lens. He has exhibited across Europe and it is great to have his work here in Toowoomba!

Earlier this year Feather & Lawry donated a $1000 Gallery voucher for a Zonta Club fundraiser - and the lucky winner was Jacquie Roberts!

Jacquie was thrilled to use her voucher to purchase two beautiful pieces by Lynn Munday - Floral Delight and Buds and More. We know they will find the perfect spot in their new home even though we were a little sad to say goodbye to them!

The last few days of our gorgeous Floral Elegance blooming art exhibition are here, and if you haven’t had a chance to pop into the gallery and immerse yourself in happiness you really should do so!

While the gallery exhibition closes this Friday at 5pm these works will still be available online - apart from the ones which are already going to new homes of course!

What a lovely evening we had on Friday at our Exhibition Showcase and Meet the Artist event for the Floral Elegance exhibition 🌸

Our Floral Elegance Exhibition Showcase & Meet the Artists event is on Friday night from 5.30pm and we would love you to join us!

Enjoy drinks and nibbles, wander the gallery and fall in love with the stunning range of floral works. Four of our exhibiting artists will be in attendance and will be ready to share their inspiration and process with you.

Cecily Slade, one of the artists exhibiting in our Floral Elegance exhibition is known for her incredible floral pieces. Since 2004 when Cecily returned to art after other creative pursuits she has honed her artistic expertise in this field working diligently at her practice and developing her own unique methods for creating her floral works.

Flowers offer a vehicle which enable her to express deeper realisations of the human spirit. The intricate beauty and subtle nuances of colour and light and the harmony of line and form they embody are integral to her work.

Cecily works from living flowers and sunlight and aims to breathe life into the work. Also present is a passion for good design as the basic structure on which the work is built. It is meaningful that these organic natural forms have been shown to quieten, uplift and enhance the human condition.

Cecily Slade loves to share her passion for art and particularly florals and welcomes the opportunity to meet you this Friday night at our Floral Elegance Exhibition Showcase & Meet the Artists event from 5.30pm at the gallery.

This artwork just fills us with joy - and Carnival of Flowers colour! Colleen Gardener has the perfect name and will be here to chat with you about her work at this Friday's Floral Elegance Exhibition Showcase & Meet the Artists event.

Colleen's creative journey is one of reinvention, passion, and lifelong artistic exploration. After spending nearly 30 years as a respected ceramic artist in Western Australia - renowned for her salt-glazed works under her former name, Pozzi - she embraced a new challenge and turned her creative energy to painting.

We look forward to introducing you to Colleen on Friday!

'Sunkissed' by Febe Zylstra is one of the artworks featured in the Floral Elegance exhibition - and Febe will be joining us this Friday night for our Floral Elegance Exhibition Showcase & Meet the Artists event.

‘Life’s beauty is often fleeting, joyful yet fragile, vulnerable to time and memory’. Her art reflects this impermanence, drawing from her surroundings, emotions, and a rich inner world shaped in part by living with Bipolar Affective Disorder and Anxiety. Creating is Febe’s therapy, a vital part of her mental wellbeing.

Febe works across figurative, abstract, landscape, and still life genres, often blending them to express what words cannot. Her figures are symbolic rather than realistic, carrying emotional weight and hidden stories. Colour plays a key role, guided by mood, unbound by tradition.

Come along, chat to Febe about her work and perhaps snap up a beautiful piece for your home. Tickets are just $10 and include drinks and nibbles. We would love to see you in gallery.
