Today, on National Sorry Day, we reflect on the strength and resilience of the Stolen Generations, and acknowledge the ongoing journey of healing for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families and communities.

Queensland Museum honours the stories and experiences of the Stolen Generations, recognises the enduring impacts of past policies and injustices, and celebrates the histories, cultures and voices of First Nations peoples.

Pictured is a Sorry Book from the Queensland Museum Collection, containing messages and signatures from community members who expressed their support for reconciliation and acknowledged the pain caused by colonisation and the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families.
